Ik was blij met: Great place to stay just a short walk from the lovely Polperro. They do breakfasts and lunches in site and we all had a breakfast which was excellent!

Ik was blij met: Stayed here for 1 night in shepherd's hut, everything as described in the site, kitchen has everything and showers are clean and good hot water running through. Plenty of play areas to keep the kids engaging. Field is muddy due to bad weather, so have a pair of boots while walking inside the campsite.

Van de manager: Thank you for the top marks. We have gravel pathways to get to the Yurts and keep the grass short with the ride on lawn mower. There are some longer grass areas at the peripherals if you are collecting a stray frisbee though. March was particularly wet as well, but all improvements are completed now and the grass has grown back around the new breakfast bar. Guests are enjoying the full English breakfast, burgers and the vegetable saag aloo in particular.

Ik was niet zo blij met: No lights, pitch black, flooded field (not their fault), shepherds hut in absolute darkness, door not shutting properly, no signage and no staff

Van de manager: Oh dear, sounds like you turned up after 8pm in March, to a wet field and couldn't find the light switch. I think you have to lift the handle once the front door is shut for it to close properly. Outside of mid April-mid September is a bit of a lottery with the weather, hence the 39/night. We have on site staff and signage, but never mind. It was awful weather, so fully understand.

Ik was blij met: We only stayed one night, arrived about 5.30 pm and left before 9 am. We appreciated the logs for the fire pit, the power pack, the starry skies, sea view, comfortable bed, wash basin and gas rings. The communal kitchen would be great for a bunch of friends we thought and the showers/toilets were clean and good standard. Great that the site is off grid. Off season so apart from one guy (who kept driving about) we didn't see anyone. We are relatively local so the wow factor was a bit lacking. Polperro was great before the coaches hit.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Some accommodation looked a bit 'tired'. Sure the salt winds beat the he** out of the paintwork. Having the loos in with the showers may not be such a brilliant idea when the site is busy?

Van de manager: We have a new breakfast bar now with a big sheltered seating area with plenty of wow factor. We have since painted the side of the shepherds hut that took a battering over winter as well. We also have a separate toilet along with the two toilets that are in the shower rooms, so all has been improved. However, it's all spread out and spacious anyway to prevent that busy feeling. You should come back and see all the improvements.

Ik was blij met: Fantastic stay in Barn Owl Yurt, very spacious and comfortable with fabulous outdoor space - loved the big picnic table, fire pit and hammock. Accommodation on the site is all well spaced out so felt very private. Excellent communal facilities (including organic veg for sale) and some very thoughtful touches - free fresh eggs & a power bank. Can't recommend West Kellow Hurts highly enough!

Ik was blij met: Great campsite our pitch was very private with lots of space and distance from the pitch next to us. The location was good a nice walk down into Polperro however the walk back up the hill was a challenge! Our yurt was very comfortable and the kitchen facilities were excellent as was the shower rooms. The staff on site were very friendly and helpful.

Ik was niet zo blij met: The only real think we disliked was the lack of lighting in the yurt, we had a string of fairy lights and 2 tea lights which made being in the tent after 8.30pm a little tricky and we had to resort to using our phone torches. Had we known this beforehand we would have taken our own source of lighting . The solar light on the yurt door was broken. The sheets on the bed had a few stains on them and we had make up the spare bed ourselves after collecting the sheets from the shed.

Van de manager: Thank you for the kind comments. The staff are nice and friendly and they do try and make the guests feel comfortable. They are particular with the linen, which I like, so I can only imagine you went into the wrong Yurt where it was only made up for 2 people. There is a blue sign in the centre of the field and another one on the gate in case you didn't see the email of the layout. However, I may add signs on each enclosure just to make it absolutely sure guests go in the correct one. We love the fairy lights and candles though as it's for ambience.

Ik was blij met: The Yurt was fantastic. Everything was clean. The kitchen and facilities were simple but adequate. They had a bbq for guests to use. The hot water for in shower and kitchen was hot and not like warm. Absolutely spacious and you can hear the nature. Beautiful surroundings and very accessible. I will definitely be going back again.

Ik was blij met: Everything was as described. The emailed instructions were fantastic along with all the local information. The wagon was fun. The showers, toilets and kitchens were functional. Nice touch were tea and coffee. Phone charger packs and fresh eggs.
