Penwarne Campsite

Ik was blij met: Wonderful site and gorgeous location. Yes the toilets and showers are basic but it’s just what we wanted, the freedom, space and scenery perfect! We walked the route down to the beach with our 6 year old and dogs…took about an hour slow walking but through fields and farmlands away from any traffic was so worth the walk. Will absolutely be booking again.

All pitches will have the stunning sea view

Ik was niet zo blij met: I would say that the children’s play area needed a little work as it was a bit wobbly but with all the green space around, it’s actually not needed!

Ik was blij met: Quiet site with clean facilities. Small park good for children.

Ik was blij met: Spacious site with Amazing views. Easy access for the caravan.
Staff were friendly

Ik was niet zo blij met: Only one shower open, there are 3 of us so showering took forever. Impossible to get dressed in the shower cubicle without everything getting wet. Facilities are ok but not very clean. Would really benefit from a door on the shower block.
No hot water in washing up area or lights
Park could do with some love.
Lots of rubbish and disused buildings, would benefit from a big tidy up.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Struggled due to loud noise throughout the night and dirty facilities

Arrived late so no option to contact site owners following morning . Notified that we would be leaving to book another site and nicely asked for refund for remaining nights . Absolutely no offer of recompense so paid double for another site as this was over priced and could not guarantee a good nights sleep or clean toilets .

Ik was blij met: Location and friendly hosts. Nice views and pleasant walk to nearest beach. Great place to stay if you want to visit Trebah gardens.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Nothing to dislike if you expect very basic facilities and remote-ish location. But it is expensive

Ik was blij met: Relaxed. Peaceful. Lovely views. No-one bothering you. Parking with the sheep on the field.

Ik was niet zo blij met: The toilet and shower cubicles have a gap at the bottom and no door on the block. Was expecting small animals to run under my feet. (Mouse, squirrel etc) wellington boots would solve this or a door to the block 😉

Ik was blij met: Ability to choose own pitch, quiet site, fabulous views. Very close to various options for excursions. Wonderful beaches close by. Easy interaction with site owners, always very helpful.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Can be very windy at times due to location (just be forewarned) if you plan for this isn’t a problem. The shower and toilet block has all the facilities….however a little disappointed at the cleanliness….no toilet roll on a number of occasions. Such a shame as otherwise I would give this site 100% The attention to detail is a little lacking in places.

Ik was niet zo blij met: We weren’t aware we’d be camping in a sheep field as on the website it said they may escape. There was so much sheep poo everywhere. Our tent got covered and clothes and car

Ik was blij met: Great view from the field of the sea in the distance. Site remained well drained despite torrential rain!! Good breakfast at on site cafe and also work up appetite for breakfast/lunch at Maenporth via a shortish walk across the fields and through the wood.
