Run – don't walk – to Aldingbourne Trust, a charity-run site on the southern edge of South Downs National Park… This family-friendly location has lots for all ages, with all overnight guests being granted free access (from 2pm on the day of arrival to the end of the stay) to the open farm, the Cherry Tree roleplay village, soft play rooms, a water play area, a maze, miniature golf and woodland walks. As if that isn't enough already, the team arranges tractor rides and summer events on select dates. When you're hungry, make your way over to the on-site Quarry Café for a freshly cooked breakfast, homemade lunch, snack, coffee or a delicious cake. The outdoor veranda seating area is a splendid spot to unwind after a day of activities. Aldingbourne Trust is an award-winning local charity that helps people with learning disabilities and autism to live independent lives, so this is also a meaningful getaway. Adults with learning disabilities or autism are actively involved in everything they do. The site is on the edge of the small village of Norton, about a quarter of an hour’s drive from Chichester, where there’s an abundance of attractions, shops and places to eat. The West Sussex coast is also easy to reach: Bognor Regis is about 20 minutes away by road.

Ik was blij met Brilliant little campsite, mark was fantastic, checked on us in the morning and evening to make sure everything was okay!
It was brilliant that we could use the facilities after hours! Kept the children busy ! Definitely would recommend and will come back again!! X

Ik was niet blij met Shop does not stock any essentials for campers. Perhaps pre-offer a welcome pack with local produce etc.

Ik was blij met Amazing venue and the staff were superb
Mark greeted us on arrival, talked us through the site and the trust and then checked on all pitches evening and morning
This was our first camping trip and he made it superb, thank you

Ik was blij met We camped here for 2 nights & will definitely be recommending to friends & family. Wonderful facilities for camping, kept clean and tidy. Showers always hot. Excellent centre will plenty of activities to keep the children entertained. Lovely farm you can visit during opening hours.

Ik was blij met The whole setup was great from start to finish, being in the military my boys stay with me every weekend so I like to vary where I go, this place had plenty to do, kids were always happy and entertained and I'll definitely be using again and again.

Ik was niet blij met The only main dislike was the main big silver slide was closed for maintenance so I'm hoping that's open next time I do.

Ik was blij met Excellent campsite, huge range of activities for the children all included in the cost of the camping.
The best bit is being allowed to use them all after it closes to the public!
Small camping field with close proximity to the facilities. Clean showers with hot water!

Ik was blij met Access to facilities out of hours, small size site, which meant it was nice and quiet. Clean showers and washing up area. Kids loved the maze and play areas. This is our third visit here.

Ik was niet blij met Becoming almost out of price range now, will probably have to opt for a different site next summer

Dating from the early 17th century, Goodwood House (10 minutes’ drive) is distinctive for its four round turrets topped by cupolas. Its renowned art collection includes landscapes by Venetian artist Canaletto. Also on site is Goodwood Motor Circuit, which holds events such as the Festival of Speed (July) and the vintage-style Goodwood Revival (September). After checking out the colourful window by Marc Chagall in medieval Chichester Cathedral (15 minutes), take a relaxing stroll through Bishop’s Palace Garden, or head to the Pallant House Gallery, which has a cracking collection of contemporary British art, with works from the likes of Barbara Hepworth and Rachel Whiteread. Devour fish and chips on the pebbly beach at Bognor Regis (20 minutes), stroll up and down the pier or along the promenade, which is dotted with child-friendly activities, from climbing inflatable structures to miniature golf. And if you can’t get enough of miniature golf, there’s another course in leafy Hotham Park, where you can also scoot around on a miniature railway.
