Deze eenvoudige, afgelegen camping biedt een prachtig uitzicht rondom, ideaal voor rust. Gasten waarderen de vriendelijke eigenaar en het "wildkamperen" gevoel. Faciliteiten zijn minimaal ( Porta-Potti's, waterdispenser), met meldingen over netheid en beschikbaarheid. Toegang via smalle wegen en een krappe brug. Sommigen vinden het duur voor de beperkte voorzieningen, maar velen zien het als een perfect uitje.

Ik was blij met Absolutely stunning views, full moon, no light pollution stars amazing. It was a clear night.
Ik was niet blij met Once you’ve driven up the very narrow single track lane, which I encountered a tracker n van my car has a scratch all down one side now hopefully will tea cut out.
Please could the farmers cut back the hedges to allow for passing vehicles.

Ik was blij met Beautiful location, very peaceful with great views. We only stopped for one night on route to another destination but managed to watch a barn owl hunting from our site.

Ik was blij met Location was perfect. 360° views of uninterrupted countryside. Farmer was friendly, came to say hello then left us to it. There were 2 portaloos but we didn't use them as had our own.
Not completely level, but we had ramps so wasn't a problem for us. Couldn't fault the site at all. Exactly what we needed - Peace and quiet
Ik was niet blij met The bridge that the sat nav took us over, extremely narrow for a campervan, it was a very tight squeeze. Would go a different way next time.

Ik was blij met Lovely spot at the foot of the Howgills, wonderful grass, portaloos and nothing else so basic and doesn’t attract noisy families, owner was straightforward and helpful in a Sedbergh armed way

Ik was blij met Nestled away from the bustle of Ullswater’s crowded spots, Beck Foot campsite was a gem of serenity. Its peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking 360-degree views made it feel like a hidden haven—perfect for couples seeking quiet and connection with nature. Though the facilities were basic, that raw simplicity added to its charm, giving us the exhilarating sense of wild camping without straying too far from comfort. We absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat.

Ik was blij met The farmer was very accommodating with us as we were late on site due to road closures and delays and got slightly lost in the dark so he gave us directions. Beautiful views to wake up to in the morning. Exactly what we needed as our stop off before heading further on. Has toilets and water dispenser for washing there. Farmer came and checked in with us on the morning to make sure we were all ok which was very sweet. Basic camping site but perfect for people like us that enjoy wild camping!

Ik was blij met Views were nice, low price and toilets on site.
Ik was niet blij met Farmer was abit funny with us being young in my opinion. Told us off for having a fire, even tho the post states fires are allowed, he did kindly lend us a fire pit tho. On the last day of our trip he decided to come over and shout at us for being messy, we were just starting out packup and were just about to put our rubbish in bins, we told him this and he said we were arguing with him and told us to eff off and get off his site before 10am
Facilities weren't the greatest but can't really complain for the low price.
Other than our bad experience with the owner, the place was lovely, can't say I don't recommend it as long as you stay on his good side because he was lovely at first.

Van de manager: Well if you behave and don’t make a mess and don’t take all my stones of the wall to make a fire I wouldn’t of said anything plus the fact you were arguing all night and keeping the other campers awake so that’s why I asked you to leave show some respect to other people and the country side we do not tolerate bad behaviour on our site and buy the way camp fire are aloud but we always ask you to keep them of the ground
