Ik was niet zo blij met: We booked in to site but didn’t actually stay there. We decided to wild camp instead. After seeing the grass pitch we weren’t to keen on spending the night there in our camper van. It was very muddy on the way up to site and I didn’t want to risk getting stuck. Weather not their fault. But I didn’t like the idea of going in later that day and having to find a pitch . I would have preferred it to be allocated they I would know that was ours. The walk to the toilet block would have been muddy.

Ik was blij met: Location and friendly and helpful staff. Our second visit as we enjoyed it so much last year!

Ik was niet zo blij met: Mother in law had an electric grass pitch which was right next to the gate to the field, so it was very noisy with all the cars driving in all day (and at night when people were driving to the toilets!) and not very safe for my toddler. Could a speed limit be put in place? Facilities are too narrow and toilet cubicles are difficult to get into. Also could do with more facilities as when we visited this time the site was full and there were queues most of the time for the toilets and showers.

Ik was blij met: Out first time camping, and was a nice friendly site. Pitch was easy to find. Quick walk to the toilet facilities.

Ik was niet zo blij met: 1 star for the wifi. I'm not actually sure if wifi was available.

Ik was blij met: Plenty of room to pitch up. Lovely views. Nice clean toilet and shower facilities. All round nice place to stay

Ik was blij met: A very warm welcome from the lady at reception and showed the site map and very easy access to our level pitch with hook up. Spotless shower and toilet block with all waste facilities required. Fish and chip van Friday evenings. Wildlife robin in our van sat waiting to be fed was amazing and saw squirrels swans geese even a few bats at night

Ik was niet zo blij met: Parents letting 3 and 4 year olds go play alone on bikes next to the large lake was very disturbing to see my interaction only got me told to mind my own business there safety was nothing to do with me , the metal gate towards the pond can be loud open and slammed shut close to the pitches but soon ignored this

Ik was blij met: The pitches were good any plenty of room, the shower and toilet block were spotless and very modern. Staff were very polite and helpful, great walk along the lake side for dogs.

Ik was niet zo blij met: No shop, had to travel to Malton for anything and everything

Ik was blij met: Liked the lay out of the site. Plenty of room between pitches. Toilets and showers were immaculate. Lovely walk along lake. Would recommend a trip to the castle Howard.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Lots of crows making plenty of noise.
