Kleine, verzorgde camping met schone basisvoorzieningen (stroom/water bij elke plek). Goede locatie voor de Yorkshire Dales. Rustig met mooi uitzicht en vriendelijke eigenaren. Enige weg- en grijs water afvoerproblemen, maar uitchecktijd is verlengd.

Ik was blij met Great basic site, very clean and well kept. Great location and competitively priced compared to the next door campsite

Grey waste is up a hill and not a big space so difficult to empty onboard tanks in a large van

Van de manager: Hi Harry , thank you for the feedback . I completely agree 10am is a little too early to get packed up and away. I have now changed the check out time to 11.30 . Sorry the grey waste is up the incline but it had to be on slightly higher ground to get the fall into the main drain. I hope it was not too much of an inconvenience. Hope to see you in the future .

I was surprised that you requested the pitch closest to the road as you had stayed at Crooklands last month and left a very nice review . We do not normally reserve pitches but as you had stayed with us in April we wanted to accommodate where we can .
Liked: Lovely quiet and peaceful, only a small amount of pitches
Disliked: Nothing
I have requested that the listing makes clear that we are not far from the main road at at busy periods you may hear some road noise.

Ik was niet blij met Unfortunately it is very close to the busy main road and there is a lot of road noise

Van de manager: Hi David , thank you for your review. The traffic significantly calms after 6pm but I am sorry that you thought the road noise was an issue . The site is on lower ground and 60m from the road but I will add that so customers are aware.
The Yorkshire Dales is one of the most beautiful areas in the country so I think a 2.5 for location is a bit harsh .

Ik was blij met Perfect location for walkers/cyclists wanting easy access to the dales.
We were initially concerned about the proximity of the site to the A65 but, even over a busy bank holiday weekend there was very little road noise.
Beautiful views over rolling countryside from every pitch.
Facilities are basic but immaculate.
Ik was niet blij met Depending on wind direction, can be quite exposed.

Van de manager: Thank you for your review . We are a small site and try and make it clear that we do not have toilet or shower facilities. We do provide electricity and water to each & lighting to each pitch along with a hard standing and grass area. There is also chemical & grey waste water disposal. We are a small site that offers an alternative to the noise & activity that is often an issue on larger sites. We are also very conveniently placed to explore the Yorkshire Dales , the Three Peaks and the local area.

Ik was blij met Location. Great views across the fields and hills near Austwick. A short walk across the field and stepping stones to Austwick village. Another easy walk directly behind the site. We thought it might be noisy, being close to the A65, but it was actually quieter than some sites further away where you hear a more or less constant roar of traffic. You only hear vehicles as they pass the entrance. Very peaceful with only 5 pitches. All fully serviced too.
Ik was niet blij met Nothing of any consequence, as long as you are aware that there is no toilet & shower block.
