Ik was blij met Clean tidy field with nice grass, no cars in the field but trolleys to carry tents etc between the car and the field. No designated pitches so we were able to camp by others in our group. Toilets/showers were great, cleaned regularly and each one family accessible. The price of the stay itself was very reasonable for the quality of the actual camping field and facilities.

Ik was niet blij met One significantly unfriendly worker in the onsite pub who asked if we were new to the area and told us that such a large group couldn't just walk in and expect food - this was a group of 5 adults and some kids ~10 years old looking for a burger/pizza after setting up tents around 5pm.

No signage from the 'main road' through the park. Only 2 trolleys to move belongings. Very busy from Friday to Sunday with some kids screaming until just before 11, and dogs in tents barking through the night. As the field wasn't the biggest, this was all well within earshot. No fires (off of the floor) due to a current ongoing ban by the national parks.

Expensive spar garage closest local shop, and no local indoor activity options.

WiFi is supposedly available but we were all unable to connect throughout our stay.

Good flat field that didn't feel part of a caravan & holiday park, separated by mature trees

Ik was blij met The camp ground was spacious and quiet with stunning views. There was a trolley to bring your luggage and the shower and toilet facilities were the best I've experienced- lockable individual shower rooms with sink,toilet,hot water and powerful cubicle showers.
The site was very pretty and also has a restaurant,swimming pool and spa. There is a Spar shop nearby for supplies.

Ik was niet blij met On the website it wasn't made clear that the swimming pool is not part of the campsite and is paid separately.although the pool looked fantastic we didn't use it as it was £10 per adult and £5 per child reduced from double this price if you were camping.we felt that for people wanting to explore the area during the day the booking times were quite limited.it would have been nice to perhaps enjoy a day out then have a swim in the evening.

Ik was blij met Amazing location. Very friendly welcome. We didn't use the facilities as only stayed two nights but the pool looked great. We were camping and the toilet/shower block was clean and felt modern. Can't fault it.

Ik was blij met Absolutely superb site. Booked a camping space on the day for a last minute night away, we had a choice of where to pitch up , friendly and helpful staff who welcomed us as new visitors to the site.
We loved the fact the site was car free ; brilliant shower and toilet facilities , a terrific location for a base for many walks in the area . We will definitely take up the opportunity to use the leisure facilities and spa next time .

Ik was blij met The site was quiet and not over packed. There was lovely views. I liked that the car park was opposite the site as it meant the site was safe for children to run around with the ducks, it keeps the grass was in good condition, and it made it extra scenic without the cars. The were big trolleys available to wheel your stuff over to your site.

Ik was blij met The pitch was great! Being able to choose where we wanted to pitch up was a nice touch. Luckily we must have landed on a perfect week. Our kids had broke up and some schools clearly haven’t yet so only 3 other tents on the whole camp.
The family shower facilities are top notch! Beautifully clean and spacious. Great water pressure and piping hot. We also used the spa and pool for several hours one of our days which is a great addition to a fantastic camping spot. As we were camping the price was half price of the website prices.
We had a few drinks in the Gamekeepers inn on site but which agin is beautifully decorated and maintained. We didn’t try any food during our short stay.
The staff were truly amazing. Nothing was a problem, very accommodating and so friendly.
Also geographically it’s amazing! Within 5-20 minutes there are several places we visited that are just wonders of the North Yorkshire. Linton Falls is one of them. If you happen upon this campground you must visit.
This really was a break my family and I needed and Long Ashes truly came through for us. 10 out of 10 👍

Ik was niet blij met Irritating flies!! Whilst setting up and breaking down flys were a problem. But one we settled they weren’t an issue.

Ik was niet blij met Expensive site and not worth the money.
Pool is extra which wasn’t in description so we only found out on arrival. We paid £30 (£10 adults, 5£ children)which I think is very overpriced and pool was cold. Not sure why but pool is very dark, was that supposed to be mysterious atmosphere or romantic? Well it’s not.
Ducks and rabbit poo on the field everywhere. I have a 1 year old and just started walking and he fall a lot and picks everything up so couldn’t let him go to explore.
Grass freshly mowed and was everywhere.
Badly Decomposed dead rabbit in the overgrown grass in the middle of the camping field and one dead rabbit just outside fence where we were staying, which we have cleared as we have small children and they have been very upset.
Only 5 toilets, which was ok for our stay because it wasn’t busy but I can imagine it’s not fun when there is more people.
Small play ground.
No phone signals.
Also we had a couple who put their tent very close to ours, they have decided to have a open fire next to the tent, smoke went everywhere and doesn’t seems that there was anyone there actually checking the site as you not allowed to have a fire there.
