Sutton Hoo Holidays Campsite

Ik was blij met Right at the entrance to the Sutton Hoo estate.
Bus stop close by, for easy access to Woodbridge & Melton.
Very large fully serviced pitches with EH, water & drainage.
Sandy grass, so drains well & stays mud free.
Good wifi around site.
Easy going site without lots of restrictions & extra charges.
Hot showers (push button type).
Pricacy hedges planted between pitches.

Ik was blij met The size of the pitch and the self contained feel to the pitch with its own water and electricity.

Ik was niet blij met No one about, very basic ‘ campsite’ feel. Very small. Shower block unwelcoming.

I am sorry that our campsite wasn't to your liking, most people do like the fact that it is small. I did email you to say we were away and that my daughter was in charge if you needed anything, but perhaps you missed that email. I am glad you liked the large pitches with full facilities and not sure why you found the shower block unwelcoming as you haven't stated a reason. If you do decide to visit Sutton Hoo again, I hope we get to meet so I can make you feel more welcoming. Best Wishes, Helen

Ik was blij met Lovely quiet level site with a nice dog walk- liked the fully serviced pitch and the short grass. Nice to have the pitches with a hedge between as it gives a little more privacy.

-maybe the proximity to the farm field adjacent to the site.

Ik was blij met This was a lovely setting . The pitch we had was a good size, level and there were lots of woodland trees behind us giving a very countryside feel. The showers were hot and had a good pressure. There was a small hut near the entrance to the site with a freezer, socket for charging mobile phones and an electric kettle - ideal if you aren't on electric hook up. There was also some information about the local area. We were roadside and there was a bit of traffic noise but nothing that disturbed our sleep.
The owners were very helpful and replied to my emails very quickly.

Ik was blij met Used to pitch tent for first time last minute booking. Arrived and sign on board showed allocated pitch. Easy to get to site, toilets were clean and pitches good size.

Ik was niet blij met Road side pitches picked up noise particularly in morning from a relatively busy road. Not a huge issue though.

Ik was blij met We especially liked the location of the site in relation to our visit to Sutton Hoo
The site was informal and relaxed, and the pictures were of a good size
The facilities were good and modern
The cost of staying there was excellent
We will return to Sutton Hoo again and would stay there
I would also investigate what local facilities there are near there to try to stay longer
We normally stay on membership type sites but this reminder does very much so of when we first started camping sat outside your tent listening to kids play and families talking all very convivial

Ik was blij met Good facilities, relaxed, nice location, peaceful yet not isolated, showers and toilets good, allows fires, no complaints especially for the price, very friendly owners, WiFi was good but dropped in and out, small trees around each pitch makes them cosy

Ik was blij met Lovely site,in a really lovely part of Suffolk. Toilets are clean, pitch level and grass short. Water and electric at each pitch. Each pitch has hedges both sides for privacy. Excellent wifi. We felt safe there as owners live on site.Although we are only a couple,we don't mind family sites,but this site seemed to keep the families one end and couples the other end. There are some beautiful walks from the site, and a pub not too far away. There is plenty to discover in the area.Play area for children.

Ik was niet blij met The only thing I didn't like was, the chemical point. I'd like the wash down hose to be slightly away from the emptying point, so it can't get splashed. Having said that, I didn't use the hose, simply filled a spare container of water to rinse the cassette. So no problem really.

Ik was blij met Small well cared for site, large secluded pitches, good but limited facilities and excellent location for Sutton Hoo, walking to Woodbridge and driving to Orford Ness.
Very friendly owners.
Fridge/freezer available if needed.
