Rectory Farm Fishing and Camping Site

Ik was blij met Very large pitches, plenty of space very clean well stocked fishing lakes x2 extremely quiet at night all you hear is wildlife shower and loo block clean also have a washing machine and dryer fridge and freezers also an iron to use for a small charge microwave too

Ik was blij met Great large site with many hidden/private pitches, selection of grass & hardstanding, with EHU & fresh water, far end is mainly wild camping, 2 fishing lakes, and lovely paths for walks around the site, Richard & Chris very welcoming and helpful, short stroll into the village for provisions, co.op, butchers, bakers, fish n chips, and a quirky pub, very peaceful being adults only,

Ik was niet blij met Facilities, (toilets & showers) need some updating and more of as only 2 showers & 3 toilets

Ik was blij met We love coming to this lovely campsite, for a small place it's well equipped, the kitchen had multiple fridges and freezers, washing machine and tumble dryer. The toilet block is nothing fancy but what is there is always kept clean and tidy. You can also hire fire pits and wood at a very reasonable price. On this trip we had such a lovely time we booked to stay with night!

Ik was blij met Clean site - easy walk into village with nice hotel we could eat in, and coop. Lovely toilets and shower and washing up facilities.

Ik was niet blij met Not at all the fault of the campsite but we were next to a couple who had their TV on very loudly at night. Spoilt our experience as we were hoping for peace and quiet!

Ik was blij met The location, the fishing, the site is amazing with little enclaves of pitches blended into the countryside. The owners couldn’t be more helpful. The small town of Hingam is a short walk away where the are a few shops and a great pub/hotel. Our second visit and I’m sure we’ll be back

Ik was niet blij met The toilets and showers could do with a spruce up, but it all works and is clean. Everything else more than makes up for this.

Ik was blij met The site was beautiful and peaceful. The bell tent was wonderful, clean, cosy and very well set up for a lovely stay.

Ik was blij met Just what we needed - a quiet and relaxing stay at a fantastic site. The fishing was outstanding with 2 lovely carp on day 1 and 3 clonking Rudd on day 2. Pity the bream didn’t want to play but that just means we’ll have to be back!
Oh and the White Hart’s food is outstanding.

Ik was blij met Idyllic, pretty and quiet adults only site! Kitchen wash up area has paid for washing machine, tumble dryer, iron. It has a few fridge freezers too! Friendly owners. When you arrive check the small blackboard to see your pitch no. if owners are busy. The wild part is further over where we were and had a surprise of our own stand pipe for water, very convenient. Lovely walks around the camp, safe for dogs. Also the village of Hingham is a 10-15 min walk or 5 min bike ride on paths. There is a cricket club with exercise equipment outside you can walk to, just 2 mins walk from site. You can use the bar there "Abrahams " slightly nearer than White Hart in the village. Hingham has Fish and Chip shop, butchers, bakers, tea shop. A large co-op going out the other end of village but all walkable. Buses run to Norwich for a day out if you have no car. Bus stop just outside the site.

Ik was niet blij met Only 2 showers so a queue forms or go at 07.30! Needs a refurbishment but we managed 😊
Wifi and signal for data flaky but they might be our pitch.

Ik was blij met Beautiful place, we never had to wait for the toilet or the shower.
We would go again but would go further on site to a more wilderness pitch.

Ik was niet blij met Rules are not clear enough for us, as it reads Adults only but then we were woken up by 2 very very young children running around our tent screaming.
Apparently children are allowed with adults on the first fishing pond.
I question this as not being Adults only.
The owner was good and moved them to the other side of the pond, it was a compromise.
Other campers that were next to us were not happy either.
Site may benefit with an additional paragraph around fishing and children.

Ik was blij met Lovely well kept site. Pitches are a nice size and most are surrounded by trees. The staff on the site was very helpful as I had problems with my gas cooker which he sorted.. I also have a dog that struggles in heat and he was very helpful to try and provide some shade for her. There is a nice size field attached for walking the dog

Ik was niet blij met Toilets/showers are a bit tired and could do with more of them.
Unfortunately I had some young girls camp beside me that had a fire pit every night.. they were quite loud and stayed up until early morning.. once I bought myself some earplugs this was not a problem.. not a fault of the site but just a shame they chose me to park beside 😅
