If your dog needs a break as much as you do, then Gumburn Leisure Park could well be the place to make that happen. This Worcestershire site doesn’t accept kids, but the team are more than happy to welcome four-legged family members, who can have a good stretch at the safe dog-walking area and a cleanup using the outside tap if needed. This is a small site, with only a handful of pitches, so it’s a very peaceful setup. Its small stature doesn’t mean a lack of facilities, however: guests have access to showers, toilets, a washing-up area and waste disposal, plus a kettle for easy brews (and sometimes you’ll also find the owners popping round with fresh free-range eggs if you want to buy any…) The site’s grass pitches are within the grounds of a 75-acre family-run sheep farm, where you can sit and gaze out over the farmland. There are lots of quiet roads and paths to roam along nearby, and it’s about a 25-minute drive to more trails in the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For a change of scenery, take the 25-minute drive to Worcester for shops, restaurants and a visit to the cathedral. For eats closer to home, guests can take a five-minute stroll to the village's pet-friendly country pub, which serves a range of alcoholic and soft drinks, wholesome pub grub, coffees and hot chocolates. It's open daily, with food served between 12pm and 8pm and a beer garden or indoor area with an open fire. There’s also a fish and chip van in the neighbouring village every Saturday night, or you can take the 10-minute drive to Ombersley for restaurants and pubs (one of which has a Michelin star, no less…) If you’d rather stick to self catering, stock up at the local farm shops, butchers and veg shops, then light up a barbecue by your pitch.

  • Vanwege onderhoudswerkzaamheden zijn de volgende faciliteiten momenteel niet beschikbaar: fishing.
  • Voor het gebruik van de elektrische aansluitingen is een kabel van minstens 10 meter nodig.
  • Onderkomens die zwaarder zijn dan 5000 , zijn niet toegestaan.
  • Houd er rekening mee dat de toiletten/douches uniseks zijn.
  • Zwemmen in het meer is niet toegestaan.

Zeer aanbevolen, rustige, adult-only site met max 5 plekken. Gasten prijzen de smetteloze faciliteiten en vriendelijke eigenaren. Fantastische locatie met uitzicht, pubs en wandelingen. Rustig, goed onderhouden. Minpunten: wisselvallige WiFi, gemengd sanitair, en mogelijke stalluchtjes.

Ik was blij met Clean. Hot water. Good shower. Access to drinking water. Recycling.
Short walk to lovely. Friendly pub.
Quiet. Few plots.

Ik was niet blij met Suggestion. Separate washrooms to toilets would be useful to save queuing but not a deal breaker.

Ik was blij met Loved everything about this site, small and perfectly formed. Nice flat grass pitch with only 2 other campers so bags of space. Facilities perfectly adequate and clean.
So basically a quiet, clean, and really nice site.

Ik was blij met This is a little gem of a site. 5 pitches, adults only, sheltered and in a beautiful location just 45 min drive for us. Pub within walking distance but we haven’t tried it yet.
Signal fine, toilets immaculate, shower really good etc.
We’ve been here a couple of times and will definitely be back.
Grass in photo is scorched as this was during heatwave #3 😎

Ik was blij met Really lovely quiet site which only has a max of 5 pitches. Think it would feel less spacious with all pitches taken as I had it to myself !
Mum was really lovely and brought me some eggs in the morning
The shower and loos were clean with a few homely touches there which were appreciated

Ik was niet blij met I was less happy with the WiFi. I had booked the site mainly because I had some work to do and needed it. My data had run out on my mobile. The WiFi access was not given to me initially. It was an open connection and had zero speed and kept cutting off I had to buy more data in the end which had I wanted to do that I could have stayed at a cheaper site
The daughter said she was unable to help as she was at work. I've had no follow up

Van de manager: I’m sorry to hear you are not pleased with our site. We did follow up as tried to call you twice as soon as we finished work and had no reply. My mum did welcome you onto site as a last minute booking and if you had specified Wi-Fi we would have recommended a pitch nearer the entrance to support your need. The WI-FI is free of charge and we are in the countryside so unable to offer super speed broadband. We also feel that our facilities are more than priced well.

Ik was blij met It was so quite and toilets, shower very clean. I met Laura and her wonderful mum,the handy woman, all i can say is this is my go to place now. Can not fault it 1 bit. If you want to relax and have a great pub 5 mins away this is the place for you. It is small but that is good as you are not on top of each other.

Ik was niet blij met Only booked 1 night a last min thing, but i am deffo going back.

Walking boots at the ready… the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (25 minutes’ drive) has some spectacular landscapes, including the Beacon Loop from Great Malvern, the Millennium Hill loop or North Hill. While nature takes some of the glory around these parts – as it rightly should – there's also a range of historical properties that are equally as spectacular. One is the birthplace of the composer Sir Edward Elgar, named The Firs (10 minutes' drive) and a lovely place for a stroll in the cottage gardens. Witley Court and Gardens (15 minutes), where fashionable people once partied, is now an excellent patch for woodland walks or garden strolls, and there are Spetchley Park Gardens (25 minutes) and Priory Park gardens (half an hour) for more of that sort of stuff. If you’d rather spend an afternoon sipping on the fine stuff and touring a vineyard, head to Astley Vineyard (15 minutes). Alternatively, plan ahead and find yourself an event at the Three Counties Showground (35 minutes).
