With stunning views over mixed countryside in the pretty county of Worcestershire, Mill House is home to a range of well-maintained pitches and some good amenities, including a toilet block, showers and a handy washing-up area for your pots and pans. Its location also helps it to stand out, as the site is between the scenic River Severn and the Droitwich Canal, a quick 10-minute drive from the centre of historic Worcester and next to an attractive marina. Mill House is a chilled-out kind of place – one where you're welcome to bring dogs along to join the family break and barbecues are permitted for some alfresco eats. Supermarkets, butchers and other amenities are just a short drive down the A449, making it simple to source provisions for your stay. There’s also a local bus route a short distance away, so it's easy to leave the car back at base and get out and about in the local area. Fancy a spot of angling? At Mill House, river fishing is available for an extra fee. There are also plenty of walks and cycling trails along the waterways and in the surrounding countryside to explore during your time here.

Ik was blij met The site was really lovely, we had a choice of pitches and got a lovely spot along the river walk.
We were greeted with all the information we needed.
The facilities were spot on, toilet/shower blocks brand new, a games room and lovely horse box bar selling drinks and snacks. There is a seating area with a large screen tv right alongside the boat lock.
All the services were near to hand, water, bins etc were very accessible.
The Wi-Fi needs to be purchased which we didn’t mind paying £4 for the night.
(It is cheaper if you are staying longer)
Great walks with the dog and chatting to the guys fishing along the way.
We would definitely stay again if ever we are up that way again.

Ik was blij met Difficult to fault. Friendly staff, clean, fully functional shower block. Pretty, quiet pitches for tent campers away from the caravans. Access to the canal towpath from the site was an added bonus. It's possible to walk into Worcester by the canal and River Severn (and walk back in the dark along the road, with a footpath all the way, and street lights as far as the roundabout).

Ik was niet blij met I don't think it was bad value, but some sites charge campers per person, not per pitch - obviously advantageous for solo travellers. The site was very quiet when I was there (midweek in September), but I suspect it might feel a little crowded when most of the caravans are occupied.

As it's just a few miles to the north of Worcester (10 minutes' drive), you're sure to want to get into the city to visit attractions like Worcester Cathedral (with its famous Norman Crypt), the timber-framed Tudor House Museum, the Royal Worcester Museum with its extensive porcelain collection and Worcester Woods Country Park (out of town, 15 minutes’ drive), which is great for a picnic or dog walk. Slightly further afield, a half-hour drive will get you into the midst of the Malvern Hills National Landscape, a green and grassy range of peaks with lots of hikes to choose from. Head in the opposite direction for a day trip to Kinver Edge (half an hour), an elevated sandstone ridge and ancient hillfort with far-reaching views. Got kids who need to be kept entertained? Cadbury World (40 minutes) on the edge of Birmingham is sure to prove popular with sweet-toothed tiddlers. Other good options in the vicinity of Mill House include the West Midland Safari Park (20 minutes) and Full Throttle Raceway (half an hour), where there's a separate mini track for young children.
