Kingsmoor Retreat

Ik was blij met Everything about our stay at Kingsmoor Retreat was perfect. The site facilities were excellent and although a busy bank holiday weekend, it was still peaceful and relaxing. The site is managed by a very friendly and helpful warden who makes everyone feel welcome. The onsite pub is a real treasure and the restaurant “ Mexi-Dans” is absolutely first class. Will definitely be staying again.

Ik was blij met We came for our very first time camping and we loved it!
Very friendly site manager who made us feel really welcome. Clean toilets and shower facilities.
The pub was great and the food was amazing.
Everyone on the site was friendly and quiet at night time.
We will definitely be returning!

Ik was niet blij met Nothing- would stay again and recommend although slightly pricier compared to other sites.

Ik was blij met Very good host and welcome. Pitch good big size, smart / tidy facilities.

Ik was blij met Pitches were nice and flat, with some nice clean facilities, albeit a little small. The area was lovely, and the welcome from the attendant who was working on site was very nice and welcoming.

Ik was niet blij met No hot water to wash up with, the bar restaurant set up was strange. It was kept separate, and I was not keen on the way of ordering.

The chef was a little unprofessional, as a professional chef myself. Smoking in a chef jacket and out in an area where customers are sitting is not a great look.

Friday night, there was a lot of noise. There were a group of women at the bottom singing and playing music till midnight and gone which kept my 9-year-old awake, but also the bar had music playing loudly.

The Saturday night, which is not the fault of the site, there was a party in the field with fireworks going off.

Ik was blij met Beautiful site, very clean, welcoming and attentive wardens, gorgeous local area, nice walks for the dog, rest rooms perfectly lit at night. Lovely facilities

Ik was niet blij met Awful pub at the entrance to the site, which sadly attracts undesirables, and local youngsters in cars smoking weed, very loud music pointing towards camp until late close. Absolutely ruins the ‘retreat’! In our opinion the pub needs closing and lots of thought to attract the clientele that the area and retreat so very much deserves!

Van de manager: Hi, so sorry your experience with us was not a good one due to the local pub. This sounds like a "one off" as the locals that frequent the pub tend to be of middle age. Your comments have been taken seriously and the pub land lady has been informed. Majority of campers reviews really enjoyed the pub and the restaurant.
