Step into the splendid Gloucestershire countryside and set up camp just two miles from the market town of Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds National Landscape. With Pebbly Barn Farm as your base, fab, far-reaching views are a given, as is a warm welcome into a peaceful retreat where well-behaved dogs are welcomed on leads and adventures in the Cotswolds are within easy reach… Once you’ve pitched up your tent in the roomy fields here, set off on the walking and cycling trails in the surrounding area (some of them begin very close by). You could make off to Moreton-in-Marsh's antique emporiums, tearooms, art galleries and delis, half an hour’s walk away, or time your visit right for the town’s Tuesday open-air market. With the Four Shire Stone on the outskirts of the town, another option is standing in the old meeting point of the four counties of Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire (cool, huh?) There's also plenty of scope for tasty dinnertimes, with cafés, restaurants and pubs (including a couple rumoured to be past haunts of the author J.R.R. Tolkien) on the town high street and barbecues permitted on site (on a proper stand to protect the grass). The famed Diddly Squat Farm Shop is also 15 minutes' drive away. As for when the sun goes down, there are firepits for hire on site. The facilities here include toilets, showers and a handy dishwashing area, all close to the peaceful pitches. And though it may be rural, you won't be cut off here as Moreton-in-Marsh’s train station has routes to London and Cheltenham, and bus services go to many Cotswold towns and villages.

Deze camping wordt geprezen om zijn mooie, ruime en brandschone terreinen. Eigenaren zijn erg vriendelijk, de sfeer is rustig en er zijn uitstekende wandelmogelijkheden voor honden. De toiletten en douches zijn de beste die gasten ooit hebben meegemaakt. Ondanks af en toe wachtrijen en wens voor meer faciliteiten, is het algemene sentiment zeer positief.

Ik was blij met This was our first visit. We found it very well thought out and welcoming. The staff were helpful, lots of things like 24hr toilet pods , washing up facilities with local info displayed down to shuttle buses to local places and firepits and bbq to hire.

We liked that you could park where suited you so we chose a place to watch the sun rise.

The site was very clean and we couldn't fault it.

Good value for money as cost £30 for one night x 2 people.

All day check ins from 10 am -8 pm and later check out of 12 pm. This let us enjoy our morning coffee and breakfast before packing away.
We will definitely return soon.

Ik was blij met Lovely clean site, quiet, friendly staff, and loved the fact you could just pitch anywhere. Lovely shower, toilet & washing up block very new and modern.

Ik was blij met What a wonderful campsite! Toilets and showers always clean. Never a queue. Friendly on arrival. Lovely dog walk area and field. Great to be allowed campfires. Excellent all round site. Lovely part of the world. Excellent value for money.

Ik was blij met This is the second visit to Pebbly Barn Farm. Stunning campsite with plenty of space, immaculate facilities and a safe and friendly vibe. Nothing is too much trouble for John who is always on hand to help if needed.
Like choice of own pitch, campfires and groups allowed. Clean and plentiful facilities.

Ik was blij met clean tidy and modern, wonderful views. Friendly welcome from John who was always on hand if we needed anything. Excellent facilities, never had to wait for a shower/toilet/to wash up. Felt very safe. Definitely the best place we’ve stayed.

Ik was blij met Really pleasant stay at this site , weather was an added bonus this weekend , father and son who run the site are very friendly and will help you out :) not the cheapest site but it’s worth the extra few quid for a beautifully maintained farm , dogs kept on leads on site but if you leave the farm at the rear there’s a fantastic area the dogs can run riot for hours with no roads nearby. We will 100% be returning with our friends who agreed this site is great . 10/10 ,

The easiest way to the site is off the A44 via an unnamed road signposted Evenlode. Follow this road for one mile until you reach the entrance, which is a black-wrought iron gate and railings with a sign for Pebbly Barn Farm.

Where can a 10-minute car ride get you? It turns out, a lot of places. There’s the dog-friendly plant centre and café at the 56-acre Batsford Arboretum and Garden Centre (10 minutes’ drive), flying displays from falcons, eagles and other birds of prey at the Cotswold Falconry Centre (10 minutes) or the splendid 18th-century gardens at Bourton House Garden (10 minutes). Sezincote House (10 minutes) is another of those close-by spots and a rare authentic Mughal palace with a house and tea room – get there on foot if you wish by following the local Moreton Eight walk near the site. With the World Heritage Site of Blenheim Palace (half an hour) and the National Trust’s Chastleton House (10 minutes) close by too, there are many more options to have a nose around additional historic buildings. When you’re ready for some animal life, Cotswold Farm Park’s rare breeds, outdoor play and bouncy pillows (20 minutes) are likely to be a hit with the kids, or perhaps a peaceful picnic by the river Windrush in Bourton-on-the-Water (20 minutes) will do, with Birdland the prize attraction here.
