Ruime plaatsen, vriendelijk personeel en uitstekende faciliteiten, waaronder een café met heerlijke pizza's. Gasten waarderen de natuur, het wild en de wandel- en vismogelijkheden. Ondanks enig klein geluid van de weg en incidentele netheidsproblemen bij de douches, is de algehele ervaring zeer positief met veel terugkerende gasten.

Ik was blij met Lovely setting on the outskirts of Forest of Dean, good local food shops and amenities. Very peaceful & dog friendly. Some local attractions nearby such as Puzzlewood, Perrygrove & Clearwell caves. Brilliant local walks and great if you like exploring on foot!
Beautiful home made pizza on site next to the picturesque fishing area with bar. Electric set up works well and surprised how little we actually used, refund was quick for amount you didn’t use. Staff were generally helpful and friendly.
Ik was niet blij met Having 1 toilet and shower block is a disadvantage especially given the size of the site, it was clean and well stocked daily however due to site size and been busy due to start of summer holidays another block it would benefit from.
Childrens play park although fully functional could do with an upgrade as quite dated and quite a long way from many pitches so children need to be accompanied 24/7, if would also benefit from a bench so parents can sit down whilst supervising. The other camping field would benefit from a children’s park I think.
Also there is only 1 waste water, chemical waste disposal and 1 fresh water on site which can be quite limiting and some with mobility issues would struggle with this as quite a distance from many pitches, it would benefit from these things been on both fields.

Ik was blij met Absolutely love this site - third time visiting, once with a group of girl friends, once with my partner and this time with my father. Beautiful part of the world with lovely forest to wander in and animals to look at.
Spacious pitches, metered EHU at a reasonable rate, good facilities. Jeff and the team are very welcoming and friendly - and the pizzas and Somersby on tap are delightful!
Will be back again very soon!

Ik was blij met Great site and location. Pitch was large with a great walk with the dog through the woods. Great extras on site like fridge, freezers and dishwashers for you to use. Staff were very friendly - especially the young lady who showed us to our pitch and served behind the bar. Great hotdogs to watch the football with as well.

Ik was blij met Plenty of space. Good facilities. Nice staff. 3 ponds by the bar / cafe with seating. Loaded with several types of fish. Nearest grocery (Spar) near Berry Hill .
Ik was niet blij met Pubs Closed Monday & Tuesday in the Forest.

Ik was blij met We were shown around the site by a friendly man in a little buggy who helped us pick out the perfect spot! It was a hot weekend so we wanted a bit of shade and found a great pitch.
Really relaxing nice campsite. Lots of room and has everything you need. There is a fridge, freezer and quick dishwasher on site.
There is a cafe/ bar on site that does breakfast in the morning and pizzas in the evening and you can get a pint of cider and sit by the lake with the resident chickens and the turkey. Very nice.

Wildlife haven, walks, peaceful site

Ik was blij met Plenty of walks straight from the site. The owners are very friendly and never forget a face.
Nice cafe and bar on site.
Plenty of wildlife in the forests all around: deer and wild boar. One evening we saw a sow and her piglets not far from the campsite.
Some parts of the forest have grazing cattle, but they are Geo Fenced and you can track them on a website (info on cattle gate)
The internet reception is better than at home!

Ik was blij met Easy to get to, facilities were good, plenty of space, countryside animals about the place. Watching the House Martins catching the bugs off the lake was lovely. Pizzas were nice.
Ik was niet blij met There was a bit of road noise and only one fresh water tap, one of the locks in the gents showers was broken, but overall very minor things.
