Cows and sheep for neighbours, gorgeous walks from the door and a short drive from the likes of Bakewell (home of Bakewell tarts) and Chatsworth House… who could turn down a Peak District getaway at Brosterfield Farm Caravan Park? The site was originally run back in the 70s, as an addition to the then working Brosterfield Farm, before it ceased trading in 2003. The owners bought the farm in 2009 and slowly renovated it into their family home and the existing site – the surrounding acres are owned by themselves and farmed by the local farmer. What a stunning place it is, too: the field is quiet and surrounded by farmland. The main thing is that it’s small and low-key, as the owners want the experience to feel as natural as possible. There are modern showers and toilets. Dogs (up to two per pitch) are also welcome. There are some gorgeous walks from the door – and if you’re keen to dabble in other activities, mountain biking, cycling, shopping, taking photos or simply finding a spot to read a book or sip a drink will be very easy. The local pub is handily dog-friendly (inside and out). It’s only 10 minutes’ walk away in the village of Foolow, a pretty and traditional place with lots of walking trails, a duck pond and the aforementioned country pub with an excellent restaurant, open fires and good ales. Another pub is half an hour’s walk away from the site, and has views over the village.

  • Deze camping ontvangt alleen gezinnen (directe familieleden) en koppels; reserveringen van andere groepen worden niet aangenomen.
  • Minstens één lid van het gezelschap dient 18 of ouder te zijn.
  • Dit is een rustige plek: muziek is strikt verboden.
  • Het wordt gasten geadviseerd om een zaklantaarn van goede kwaliteit mee te nemen, omdat delen van het terrein onverlicht zijn.
  • The toilet/shower block is only open for guests between 13 March and 31 October. The site is hosting an event on Saturday, 12 July, 2024 and there will be associated music/noise until midnight.

Ik was blij met: We had a lovely time. Plenty of space for the children to play. Facilities were clean and site was nice and quiet in the evening. Would defiantly stay again. Walking distance to a pub as well.

Ik was blij met: We had a great stay at the campsite and it had all the required facilities which were kept in good and clean condition. The campsite is a 12 min walk to the local pub which does excellent food (booking recommended). There are also plenty of walks in the area, and the pub sells bakery items such as bread and cakes.

Ik was niet zo blij met: As I said we had a great stay and enjoyed ourselves, but just an idea for the campsite owner would be to collect the cut gras as we constantly had the soles of our shoes full of cut grass which you take in to the van, the shared bathrooms, etc. I know it's extra work but would definitely make the cleaners job easier when cleaning the bathrooms.

Ik was blij met: Lovely little campsite with everything we needed! We booked mid week so relatively quiet (exactly what we wanted for our dog) and as you chose your own pitch based on peg markers we had loads of space to ourselves. Amenities are new and clean, toilets/shower blocked warm and water very hot! Even with the cut grass it was very clean at the evening. Place to wash your pots with bins and washing up soap :) dogs on lead on-site, no music or large groups and everybody was respectful of each other and by 10pm the site was silent and peaceful. (Stars were amazing!) Pub a very short walk away, walks around the site for the dogs where well kept and clean.honesly Couldn't have asked for more and look forward to returning in the future. Beau Bear loved herself. 🐾☺️
