Mi è piaciuto Almost completely flat level pitches set in quiet countryside. Friendly hosts who clearly care for their site. Not mentioned is that there is an easy cycle route to the centre of Norwich. Just a short section of very low traffic lanes until joining the Marriott’s Way, a converted railway line directly to the city centre.

Non mi è piaciuto Nothing to dislike, but the single shower/toilet could get busy during busy periods.

Mi è piaciuto Great expanse of park beyond the area used by tents/caravans/vans. Great woodlands to explore and keep children occupied. Set in beautiful countryside with extensive river and/or hill walks. The toilets and showers were always clean with ample hot water for dishwashing etc.

Non mi è piaciuto The slope of the hard standing pitches nearest the road were a challenge to level unit.

Mi è piaciuto Good flat (almost level) hard standing pitches facing the river and trees. Great pub, friendly hosts, good food. Ideal for short stop-over

Mi è piaciuto Reasonably flat field area with hook-ups spaced around edges. Not a large site. Toilets/showers near entrance cleaned regularly and in good condition. Overall condition of lake areas, small animal area and cafe very good. Fantastic for walking around. Cafe carpark often full so obviously popular with locals.

Non mi è piaciuto Lack of signage for arrivals and getting the app for the gate was a bit of a faff. No drive-over drain for Motorhome grey waste.

Mi è piaciuto Open flat field area with hook-ups at one end and markings on grass for pitch boundaries at the other. Children’s play area in the middle. Toilets/showers always clean, not too many but only small site. Nice touch is 13amp sockets by sink area for hair dryers/straighteners/mobile chargers if you don’t have hook-up. Bus to/from Brighton every 12 mins for £3 single fare. Bus stop 10 mins walk away.

Non mi è piaciuto Entry road is narrow and DON’T try to enter or leave site in vehicle as school traffic nightmare (can’t blame site though) Site is at the end of Brighton airport runway however only occasional small propeller planes used it and tended to be a weekend morning only thing.

Mi è piaciuto Good location with immediate access to coastal path. Largish toilets/ shower block with the usual washing up space etc. not new but everything worked, was very clean and plenty of spaces.

Non mi è piaciuto Hook-up pitches were limited to immediately against wall of building, and site pitches very regimented in rows.

Dal gestore: thankyou for your review Mark Berry we have 28 electric pitches some against the barns out of the wind and some by the woods at the front also many in between if you went to our website it allows you to choose your own pitch number and shows you a map but on pitchup you just get allocated any pitch which is available. the vans have to be lined up on some of those pitches so everyone gets to see the lovely views instead of one and everyone else looking at a big white box this policy protects your view its a positive not a negative

Mi è piaciuto Good reception and easy to find touring pitches. Well marked out pitch, with plenty of room and reasonably flat. Toilets and showers clean and working well. Plenty of walking areas (very extensive) for dogs or general walking.

Non mi è piaciuto Quantity of toilets and showers. There were only 3 in each for all the touring pitches. (Just had to choose the right time to visit)

Mi è piaciuto Rural campsite without the regimented frills. Grass was in good condition. Some parts of the field have quite a slope, but plenty of room elsewhere. The views are spectacular. Toilets are newish and in good condition. About 20 mins walk to main village.

Non mi è piaciuto Only having 4 unisex toilets (cold water only) can make it busy as site was popular.

Mi è piaciuto Location - we were just using this as stop-over. It’s just off the A41 good road access and good signage. Nice canal walk adjacent to site. Flat - good level ground throughout. Well maintained- well mown grass and no loose cuttings. Good toilets and showers - unusual colour scheme but looked new and were clean.

Non mi è piaciuto Nothing. Local A525 road was busy but didn’t disturb at night.

Mi è piaciuto The open space, level pitches, clean toilets and showers. General relaxed no-fuss environment. Location - short walk to town centre.

Non mi è piaciuto The “showground” part of the whole area is showing its age, but didn’t spoil it.

Mi è piaciuto What a fantastic site. The owners have worked hard over the last few years continually upgrading everything. The site is well laid out, with generous width almost level pitches. The toilets are modern and clean. There is minimal noise from passing traffic. The views are fantastic. There’s an onsite cafe which is due to be upgraded later in 2024. Really generous field for dog exercising. Really generous field for children for safe playing.

Mi è piaciuto Condition of site - clean, tidy, well kept, clean toilets & showers. Great host/owner - James really helpful getting on pitch and loaned matting to make awning more comfortable, also ensuring we knew route across fields to town. Location - close to town, easy walking distance.

Mi è piaciuto Small site that is relatively new, with young plants dividing pitches, which has been looked after even with very wet spring weather. Really good showers in toilet block.

Non mi è piaciuto A lot of work has gone into terracing the pitches as site is on huge slope, but with just a bit more care most could be level, but they aren’t. The 6amp limit for hookup is restrictive.

Mi è piaciuto Clean and tidy site. “Compact” describes it well but pitches are well spaced with plenty of turning space to get onto pitch. Overall the site is flat but used levelling ramps on the pitch for comfort. Toilets and showers were always clean and adequate in number. Warden was very friendly and helpful about walks and buses. Great bus service to either Cheltenham or Gloucester right outside front of site. Location of site is no more than 5 mins off junction 11 of M5, just off A40, great for access, and that is what some people may not like. This site isn’t in the middle of rolling countryside, realistically it’s in a fantastic location for visiting Cheltenham/Gloucester. There is some road noise at peak times, we were on the pitch next door to “Christine G” who complained about the noise (see other feedback) and we didn’t notice it.

Mi è piaciuto Quiet site, generous sized, almost level pitches. Good clean (modern) facilities with good recycling facilities. There was even an area for securely locking cycles, and charge point for e-cycles. Friendly hosts who checked we we ok. Location of site within easy walking distance of lovely Beverley. For those not so keen on walking there were actually busses running on a Saturday!

Non mi è piaciuto Disposal of grey waste from Motorhomes not easy as no drive-over drain. Facilities for caravan grey waste only.

Mi è piaciuto Large “roomy” campsite, generally flat gently undulating pitches. Plenty of room for children to play and there were swings attached to mature tree. Ground stone-free. Generally quiet (but could be noisy by road). Pot-wash area enclosed with hot water plus a fridge a freezer and toaster for use if required. Very near to river Trent for walks.

Non mi è piaciuto Toilets and showers. They were “functional” ie. they worked and were clean. Cosmetically they are rough for £30 a night.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely small site with large almost flat pitches. Very few stones in soil making pitching easy. Very little road noise even in the distance. Toilets were always clean and looked after. All 5 managed pitches were occupied and quantity of toilets (only 2) and shower (only1) wasn’t an issue but could be issue if full of unmanaged campers.

Mi è piaciuto Great hosts ready to help on arrival, and the general quiet relaxed atmosphere throughout. We were pitched up for over a week, through full sunshine and severe storm. The pitch fields are sheltered by surrounding trees and they have a slight slope, but not excessive. Soil slightly sandy which helped pitching. The toilets /showers / bin areas were always clean, two older blocks, with a new larger set about to be opened (nearly finished so probably open for 2020 season). Local town (Thorpe-le-Soken) a very short walk away with places to eat, take-aways and shop.

Non mi è piaciuto The size of the wash basins in the older toilet blocks didn't help for washing/shaving etc., and the smaller of the toilet blocks only had one sink. The local railway line was some distance away but as the area is so quiet, the occasional daytime trains that ran broke the tranquility.
