Mi è piaciuto Field was easy to pitch on, showers and bathrooms were clean and well-maintained and there was a good sized washing up area next to it. Owner was really friendly and helped me out with getting some tent pegs when I forgot mine!

Mi è piaciuto Quiet and peaceful by the river, campsite was spaced out really well to give everyone privacy. Owners were super lovely, helped me out when I forgot my tent pegs! Shower was hot and the main toilets next to them were well maintained.

Non mi è piaciuto Difficult to get to on foot from Hay-on-Wye, and the river pitches especially have a long walk to access water, showers/main toilets, or the washing up sink. There's also no ability to throw away rubbish at the site, you have to take it with you.

Mi è piaciuto Stayed in a tent and was given a range of level, well-maintained grass to pitch on, separated from the caravan/huts section and given some privacy from the pub. Immediately on the path of Offa's Dyke so very convenient to stop. Whole area was small so quick to access the toilets/showers, and the showers were some of the nicest I've ever come across (comparable to a proper hotel shower, even!). Pub itself was well priced for the alcohol and owner was lovely, was able to help me out in a pinch by finding some nails for me to use in lieu of the tent pegs I forgot to pack, thank you!!

Non mi è piaciuto There's no washing up/sink area, although I have been told it's in the plans to build one. Also no obvious access for bins, although I was able to throw away some basic wrappers etc inside the pub.

Mi è piaciuto The grass was flat and easy to pitch, had no issue finding a space. Although we didn't use it, the small hut with the pizza in the evening and a breakfast provision in the morning was a nice touch. Convenient to get to on the 69 bus route, which was useful to the Itchen navigation route.

Non mi è piaciuto Other people in the campsite were holding a party (which is fine!) but the adults in the party continued playing music quite late into the night - the nature of self check-in and generally low oversight meant we weren't sure if this was permitted and if it wasn't, who we could speak with. The washing up area tap and drainage didn't actually work, so it was a bit awkward to use, and the toilets were in poor condition - the composting toilet was fine (but ran out of toilet paper in the morning and again, was unclear who to speak with), but the other toilet quickly filled up and became unusable, and the two portaloos had an awful smell and I believe one became unusable by the morning.

Mi è piaciuto field was well maintained so easy to find a suitable pitch, the sink for washing up was useful, campsite overall was quiet as advertised, very close to the ridgeway for continuing journey the next day

Non mi è piaciuto portaloos weren't in the best state in the morning (three were full/unflushable), even though there were only four pitches the night before, would've appreciated some walking directions from the ridgeway path (I ended up detouring to the road because I wasn't sure how easy it would be to spot the site from the pathway if I committed to walking the path)
