Mi è piaciuto We really liked the swimming facilities next door which although included, are actually separate from the campsite. We also liked the location. The town nearby is lovely and we ate at a nice restaurant.

Non mi è piaciuto The campsite has a run-down feel about it generally, the toilet and shower facilities are dirty, our shower block was out of order due to building works, we didn’t actually see any building works, the situation is unacceptable during peak season. We had to leave a deposit for our barrier key of €20, we had to leave at 8am, reception opens at 9am, we were not told this on arrival, we left the barrier key in the post box, we have not received our deposit back, the site staff have told us it is not possible to refund despite me providing them my bank details. This is unfair and basically theft of our €20.

Mi è piaciuto There is a really, really nice view!

Non mi è piaciuto It’s basically some parking just at the bottom of the owners driveway. It’s nowhere near level. There are zero facilities, not quite as described, didn’t see local produce or foraging spots etc. it’s expensive! For what is a patch of shale at the side of a drive it is not worth the fee. Could be a brilliant spot with a bit of work. We would definitely not use this site again and it wasn’t suitable for a tourer, we are 100% self contained VW Motorhome.

Mi è piaciuto Amazing views. Great big site. Easy access to Whitby via the 199 steps. YHA bar/cafe next door is great value. Whitby Brewery does a nice pint if you can get one (gets busy).

Non mi è piaciuto Weed smokers on the campsite. We just moved because we don’t like the smell.

Mi è piaciuto Amazing view over Llandudno. Really friendly host. All the facilities we needed, water, bins etc. A short walk from shops restaurants and the beach at the quieter end of Llandudno. It’s situated in a very pleasant area. There is also a kids paddling pool and ample parking for the sea front very close by.

Non mi è piaciuto Not private. Spaces are too tight together, this wasn’t an issue for us because nobody else was there, we also have a large van. If you’re in a Transporter etc you’d have a little more space, but some really needs to be reserved for sitting outside etc. If it was full, then there would have been an issue. My advice to the owner would be to reduce the amount of pitches to make them more private and charge more to compensate. The place is clearly under development and finishing that off would be a huge benefit.

Non mi è piaciuto No marked out pitches Shower/toilet blocks need replacing No grey water drain for Motorhomes When we arrived we couldn’t find an electric pitch as booked, all the tents were on them, we had to just find a space in the middle and run a cable across. That’s my main gripe really, zero organisation. No facilities on site.

Non mi è piaciuto The site is very small and the facilities are dirty. Some of the campers were what I would describe as chavvy. We were awoken in the night by our neighbour threatening to run a tent over with a car because the owner of that tent had been shooting a BB gun. Also threatened to "tool him up". After what seemed like ages the owner appeared and asked him to stop. In my opinion both offenders should have been asked to leave. My kids were scared. We left early the next morning. I would like my money back. I would suggest unless you like the fishing at this place and don't mind sharing your holiday with idiots, find somewhere else..
