Mi è piaciuto Really lovely little site that's conveniently located. Got fairly busy considering it was October but the other campers were all very chilled - this place clearly attracts the sort of folk who want to get away and relax, it'd definitely not a "party" campsite which is a good thing. Super friendly owner who was very helpful. Their dog became my new best mate but perhaps that was just the Cumberland sausages I was cooking.

Non mi è piaciuto The ground was a bit boggy but it had been raining, and the track up to the camping field is pretty rough and potholed - didn't bother me as I was in a Land Rover but only mentioning it here as it might be useful information for folk with lower or more sporty vehicles.

Non mi è piaciuto While this is a lovely site I do think the pitches are too close together. I'd stay here again, but probably not at a weekend. Luckily I only had neighbours to one side, but if people were pitched on either side I'd definitely have felt uncomfortable.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely 'back to basics' quiet campsite with a friendly owner. Pitches well spaced out marked out by cut grass - I love places that do this. It really helps with a sense of privacy and personal space.

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful and peaceful basic campsite with very admirable eco credentials and ethos. Having the pitches marked out by mowing the meadow was a great touch and gave a sense of privacy and being in nature. A great find and the perfect summer campsite.

Mi è piaciuto Second time I’ve stayed here, basic and quiet site by a working farm with beautiful views. A really nice chilled place. Note the showers and water point are down a steep gravel track and the toilets could generously be described as basic, it doesn’t bother me and I applaud their eco credentials, but worth noting if other campers expect something a little fancier!

Mi è piaciuto Excellent quiet site with very well kept facilities and convenient location for the M6. Stayed a few times now when cycling and hiking in the lakes, it’s become my go-to site. It’s a working farm so don’t expect absolute silence from the general farm goings on but that’s never bothered me, I quite like it.

Mi è piaciuto Stayed here a couple of times now after a day on the fells. Super convenient for the M6 but still feels nice and quiet. Site is simple and spotlessly clean and the owners couldn't be nicer.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely little campsite on a working farm. Small and basic but spotlessly clean facilities and a very friendly owner who clearly takes pride in what they do. Despite being right by the M6 it feels very quiet and remote, which is perfect for what I wanted. Really nice, I’ll gladly stay here again.
