Setting was lovely. Pretty around the fishing lakes and bluebells all out through woodland walk.
Cafe an added bonus and food good. Unfortunately water problems meant closed on our second day when hubby had been looking forward to a full English.
Site easily walkable to Battle across fields and woodland and accessibility to coast good too.

Shower block was tired. Not toilet roll or soap or cleaning stuff to leave it clean and tidy (or to clean before using as full of grass cuttings) in ladies block.
Hubby frustrated that grass had been cut and clippings just left to mulch so got everywhere.

Improvement needed in shower/toilet block cleanliness and supplies.
We arrived on Friday of a bank holiday weekend to find that there was no toilet paper in either the ladies' or men's facilities, and no soap in the men’s toilets at all. These basic supplies weren’t replenished until Saturday. While the ladies’ block was very clean, the men’s toilets were in a terrible state. I understand that some users may not respect the facilities, but it’s the site's responsibility to maintain a basic standard of cleanliness (however unpleasant that task may be) and ensure that essentials like toilet paper and soap are regularly checked and stocked. These issues contributed the fact we cut our stay short.

Had a warm welcome on arrival, the field was a bit uneven but was able to level the caravan easy enough , a couple of big pot holes to be aware of, site was busy but it was Easter bank holiday, the site itself has some amazing dog walks around, the blue bells were in full bloom as were the snow drops. Lots of lakes for fishing if that’s your thing, all in all we had a relaxing 3 night stay. Would 100% stay again and have recommended already to a few friends. Think we might stay a week next time so husband can fish. Didn’t use the cafe but will do next time.

The showers just need a bit of modernising, like the shower rail and the cubical it self etc, but on the whole was happy with the toilet block.

- The location is good, withing walking distance of both Battle and Catsfield which are lovely

They have closed their farm shop, so you can't any dinner there after a day of hiking (unless you want to eat worms from the tackle shop they now have instead)

On site cafe was great as was the venue for fishing.

One of the permanent residents was running a petrol generator both nights we were there up until 10pm which we found annoying and disturbed what should have been our peaceful time.

Staff friendly. Lakes are amazing. The entire site was very clean and maintained

We wasn't aware the cafe was closed for our stay. Phone signal is very hit and miss.

Peace and quite. Plenty of room around your pitch. Clean toilets and showers.
Farm shop and cafe on site.

Bit of a slope to pitch on but not a huge problem.
Toilet facilities could do with a bit of an upgrade but clean and serviceable.
