Bus route dropped us off at Castle Howard after a day out, this was very convenient as we parked up our camper and enjoyed a long hike to Malton.Non mi è piaciuto: Our electric point was very far away from our pitch. So far away it took us a long time to find it, the number labels were very faded too which did not help. Fortunately our neighbours were very kind and allowed us to park on half of their pitch so we could connect our electricity.
The next morning a campsite staff member walked straight up to our camper and told us they had an extension cable we could use but we needed to move back onto our allocated pitch. When we went to borrow the extension cable we were handed it out of an outdoor storage cupboard which we could have accessed the night before if we had know it was there.
I would strongly encourage the location of the extension cable to be sent as part of the booking note for our corner pitch. It was clear this was a common issue judging by how the staff member came across to us in the morning and didn't even ask for an explanation as to why we weren't on our pitch. She told us about the extension before we could even explain ourselves.
