The site is in a lovely setting surrounded by trees and sitting right on the lake which has a really nice walk with a great view of Castle Howard. The sounds of the wildlife are great to listen to and the way the site is laid out means you are well protected from the wind. Bathrooms are always kept clean and the showers are great with really good hot water temperature. Nice little shop on site that sells local produce which is all great quality. We had read people have had problems with phone signal but we managed ok with our network and were able to use our tv with only minor issues across our stay. Great walks in the area and 2 for 1 entry to the castle Howard Gardens is a great bonus.

Our small shop in reception has a vairety of cold, soft and alcoholic drinks, some essentials and some luxuries; it is open from 9.00 till 5.00 daily and there are also occasional 'pop up' cafes in Coneysthorpe in the village hall.
