Shaded by lush maritime pine forest, Camping Garden Paradiso is a family-friendly campsite a few steps from the Adriatic Sea and its string of sandy beaches. Located on the Cavallino-Treporti coastline, it's also only a short ferry ride from the palaces, museums and canals of Venice.
There’s so much to do on site, however, that you might (almost) be tempted to stay put for the duration. Guests have full access to all the facilities in the park, and in high season there’s an impressive amount of organised entertainment and activities going on. Younger kids are catered for with a bouncy castle and playground, while older offspring can splash around in one of several swimming pools – both indoor and outdoor – and have a whale of a time shooting down the waterslides.
Grown-up time? Try the wellness centre, where saunas, massages and pedicures are all on the treatment menu.
All of this is before you’ve even got to the beach – it’s just next door, with soft sand for sunbathing and warm, clear water for swimming. If you’re looking for more activity, hire pedalos, kayaks or windsurfers and get out on the waves or start games of basketball, volleyball and pétanque.
A few basic details: family facilities include modern shower blocks, parent-and-baby washrooms and a launderette; your foodie needs are covered too, with a terraced pizzeria, bar and ice-cream parlour as well as a supermarket for basics.

By car:
From Milan on the A4, follow the signs to Venice and take the exit signposted S.Donà di Piave. Continue to Eraclea/Jesolo. In Jesolo follow the signs to Lido di Cavallino and Punta Sabbioni.
By air:
From Marco Polo Airport take the bus outside the arrivals to Jesolo. Change here for Cavallino. A taxi ride is approximately 40 minutes.
From Treviso Airport the the buses to Jesolo (these run in July and August only).
From Verona Airport, take the train to Venice - Mestre and change here for bus to Jesolo. Change here for Cavallino.
By train;
From Donà di Piave take a bus to Lido di Jesolo. Alight at Via Equilio and change for bus line 5 to Punta Sabbioni/Via Baracca.

Attrazioni nelle vicinanze
No doubt Venice (45 minutes by bus and ferry) beckons; top spots there include the flamboyant St Mark’s Square, where you can tour the dome-topped basilica, scale the spindly Torre dell’Orologio and sip a (usually rather expensive) coffee in an alfresco café. Perhaps take a gondola ride up the Canal Grande, passing a gorgeous mishmash of waterside palaces, or spy works by Leonardo da Vinci and Canaletto in the Gallerie dell’Accademia.
Other historic towns within striking distance include Treviso (55 minutes), home to the 14th-century Santa Caterina church plus art galleries showing ancient and modern art, and Padua (an hour and 15 minutes) for the famous frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel as much as its hip nightlife. If you’re a dedicated night owl, try heading for the clubs and bars of Jesolo (15 minutes) to sample one of the best nightlife spots along the Adriatic coast.
If kids are part of your holiday plans, aim to spend time on the water rides at Caribbean-themed Caribe Bay (10 minutes), where Europe’s highest bungee-jumping tower may tempt hardened teenage daredevils.
