Large pitch which meant loads of room to set up.

Lovely that a hammock was beside the pitch.

Clean toilet and shower.

Very friendly campsite owner checked in on guests each day.

Nice communal area with picnic table and fire pit.

Non mi è piaciuto Not a dislike but a suggestion, providing bins or a bin, we felt rude in leaving the rubbish for campsite owner to sort out.

Mi è piaciuto We came to be able to see all the sites and I can honestly say this is by far the best campsite ever! Andy and Gale are amazing we were met at the gate by Andy who showed us where everything was and and also told us a few local spots that you can walk to from the site to see which we did take that advantage of, by far the best site hosts you can get. It’s peaceful and tranquil. The shower and toilet facilities are amazing and after long hikes its what you need!
Its close to all the sites some 30 min to 40 min drive buts its an amazing sight to come back too light the fire pit and enjoy the company of those around you.
It is a no children site and to us for a good reason its so quiet.
On clear nights the stars look amazing so when you stay remember to look up and take in another spectacular view.

Honestly we will be coming back next year and probably every year its an amazing place.

Mi è piaciuto Peaceful small site with a warm friendly welcome from the owner when we arrived. Toilet and shower excellent facility. We loved the location and will definitely return. A gem.

Mi è piaciuto We stayed here after visiting the four waterfalls. Andy the owner was really helpful and friendly advised us of some local walks that if we had not had plans the next day we would have definitely got up and enjoyed.
Facilities are very clean and there is the option of ordering takeaways to site if needed.
There is a hut for eating/cooking in if the weather is unkind as well as a fire pit.

I will 100% be back!

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful little secluded spot, all very well kept and clean and tidy.
Received a warm and friendly welcome.

Quiet and peaceful, just the occasional sheep baa 🐑 and the wind in the trees.

Verity of walks available from campsite.

Had no issues throughout my stay.
Facility's quite basic but kept clean and tidy, shower nice and hot.

Would highly recommend and stay again 👍🏼

Mi è piaciuto Der Platz liegt in einer wunderschönen ruhigen Landschaft. Der Inhaber war sehr freundlich. Die Sanitäranlagen waren gepflegt. Man hat sich sehr willkommen gefühlt.

Mi è piaciuto Stayed in our campervan with friends making use of the static van. Andy the owner was very friendly and informative about the area. A lovely quiet adult only site with basic but adequate facilities. Would definitely use this site again if in the area.

Mi è piaciuto We had a lovely night away from home in the cabin on site . This place is beautiful we went purely for some peace and quiet and a cosy accommodation and that’s exactly what we got . Andy is such a lovely host and told us all about the local walks around the area and takeaways that would deliver food up to the gate of the site . We however brought food to cook as we weren’t sure we could do this ! We went for a relaxing night having worked a lot lately so didn’t do much walking but enjoyed the cosy cabin and loved the binoculars to study the mountains with the sheep , horses and wildlife . We will most definitely return to this hidden gem.

Mi è piaciuto The campsite was in a lovely location, just far enough away from everything but still able to access what we needed with ease. There are walks right opposite the site too.

The little railway carriage was a welcome shelter from the wind and rain to prep and eat our food, with the fire pit too.

The owner was incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble, even helping us with refreezing our ice blocks whilst borrowing his and having wood available for a fire.

There is no bin but Andy will dispose of the rubbish afterwards, just need to separate it for recycling

The facilities were always clean, and the shower was free with actual hot water!

Non mi è piaciuto There was a dog that would bark/howl through the night, our dog eventually got used to it but it still woke us up on a number of occasions. If you have a reactive dog or are a light sleeper it might make it difficult

The drinking water has a very odd and off putting smell so we didn't use it, but it might not bother others.
