Mi è piaciuto If you're after top notch facilities etc this probably isn't for you. If however you just want to unwind in a relaxed environment it definitely is. There is a shower and a WC + some portaloos but they have limited availability due to the possible quantity of people trying to use them. All clean and good when we visited. Would we come again? Definitely.

Mi è piaciuto Loads of space to pitch up; clean toilet and shower area with hand-wash and loo roll provided. Fantastic kitchen area with loads of facilities, bottled water in fridge for campers to use. Communal area with toys for children and benches, lights etc. Friendly and helpful owner, great place to stay, we had a great couple of days there. Thanks for a great stay.

Mi è piaciuto What a beautiful site. A perfect little getaway to experience Glamping for the first time.
As a single mum of two young children (5 and 2) I was a little bit nervous at first but I felt safe and relaxed at all times.
The children loved the access to the river, we spent ages throwing rocks in and exploring.
The outdoor games were also a big hit.
Loved how clean the bathroom and kitchen area was.
The bell tent was amazing - plenty of room for us and the beds were very comfortable.
Thank for you for the marshmallows and drinks on arrival!

Mi è piaciuto Pleasant surroundings - lovely big, flat field; river close by for swimming/ kayaking etc; very good shower and kitchen facilities with mugs, cutlery and fridge; finding cows grazing in the campsite field in the early morning was fun, but not everyone's cup of tea?!

Non mi è piaciuto Site owner's dog (?) chasing our vehicle all the way onto the site - we were very worried about injuring him and he also jumped up and scratched our vehicle; one shower not enough for a busy field; noise of traffic, but you get used to it

We’re really pleased you enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, the spacious flat field, the river nearby, and the well-equipped facilities, we’ve put a lot of thought into these details, and it’s lovely to know they were appreciated.

Regarding the cows, they had escaped via the river, which was a one-off and has since been fully rectified. This is certainly not the norm and we apologise if it caught you off guard.

As for Lilly, the farm dog. While guests may occasionally encounter her on the drive (this is a working farm, after all), we absolutely do not expect anyone to deal with vehicle damage. We’re very sorry to hear this happened. Please do contact us directly with photos or details, we’d like to resolve this properly. Our personal contact information is shared with every guest upon booking and arrival, so it’s upsetting that we weren’t made aware of this at the time.

It’s incredibly disheartening to receive such a negative review, especially anonymously, without having been given the chance to address the issue in real time. We care deeply about our guests’ experience and to say we’re gutted would be an understatement. As seen in our many other reviews, this isn’t reflective of the usual Garth Glamping experience.

Mi è piaciuto The tranquility and views all around the site and there was acres of room . The shower and toilet block were beautiful and very clean with a communal kitchen to the side with sink and electricity sockets , fridge freezer, kettle, cooker and pretty much everything you could need if you forget anything with free bottled water and speciality tea bags, nothing i had seen at any other site we have stayed on . The hosts both came to speak to us to see if everything was ok and if they could do anything else for us . We travel with 2 dogs and we had no issues with them , the site has a stream running along side it with a small pebble beach are where the dogs could also play .

Mi è piaciuto Facilities were fantastic well stocked kitchen with cooking utensils, crockery, kettles, hob and water bottles. and very clean toilet and shower. Owners were very pleasant people, stopped for a chat one morning from chatting to an couple locals they’re obviously well thought of which filled us with confidence staying there. location was great a couple of nice walks around, pleasant walk to the pub and short drive to a few local attractions. Also had a few lawn games which were good fun to kill a bit of time on site if you’ve a quiet day.

Non mi è piaciuto Quite a lot of road noise kept us up at night, but they do supply ear plugs!

It’s great to hear you made the most of the local walks, lawn games, and the nearby pub, there’s plenty to enjoy both on site and in the area.

Regarding the road noise: while we are nestled in a peaceful and idyllic setting surrounded by nature, we are also located on a very accessible route straight into Cardiff, which makes us ideal for exploring the area. Occasionally, some road noise can be heard, but we’re glad the earplugs helped, we always provide them to ensure our guests get a good night’s sleep.

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful, clean bell tents with lovely gentle lighting inside, potted plants and comfy beds (with clean linen, sheets, duvets and pillows).
A quiet 'festival' vibe with bunting and outdoor lights for decoration
Great gas bbq (to hire)
Friendly and knowledgeable owners
Clean toilet and shower
Outdoor kitchen with tea/coffee/ fridge and mobile phone charge points

Non mi è piaciuto No fresh running water (so used bottled water - provided by owners)
The free roaming farm Labrador was a bit snappy with our dog and wasn't on a lead or with any owner for a large amount of the time.

Regarding your comments: our apologies about the unexpected visit from the farm Dog. Her name is Lilly, and she’s never usually out on site, she should have been up at the farmhouse with her sisters, but she does occasionally make a great escape as she absolutely loves the sight of guests and the space to explore! If this happens again, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll come and take her straight home.

As for the water: you’re absolutely right. Our site runs from a filtered well system, and while it’s filtered, we don’t currently offer it as drinking water until thorough testing is completed. However, we do provide unlimited bottled water, both large and small bottles, so there’s always fresh drinking water available to all of our guests.

Mi è piaciuto The site was simple but brilliant (if they don’t mind me saying). Peaceful, quiet, with signs of upgrades coming. Loved choosing our own pitch on a big open field. Shower and toilet facilities were excellent — the shower was well above expectations.
Looking forward to coming back soon

Non mi è piaciuto Satnav might take you too far down the road — I couldn’t see any sign saying ‘Garth Glamping this way,’ so keep an eye out for the green and yellow flags marking the right spot. It’s not the site’s fault, and the flags are really helpful once you see them, so still giving 10/10.

I also really appreciate your helpful note about the satnav directions. You’re right, it can sometimes send people too far down the road. For future guests reading this: we do send everyone a text on the day of arrival with detailed directions to help avoid any confusion, and those green and yellow flags are there as an extra marker once you’re close!
