Campeggio tranquillo e appartato, simile al campeggio selvaggio. Ospitalità eccezionale del proprietario Matt. Splendide viste, ideale per amanti della natura e passeggiate. Servizi essenziali ma funzionali. Alcuni desiderano più docce. Accesso e pendenza per il bagno in fase di miglioramento.

Mi è piaciuto The Chicken House is a beautifully secluded hideaway when you need to recharge away from the crowds. It's basic camping - just a portaloo hidden in the trees and no showers - but there's a phone charging station in the woodshed and a mini fridge. Set on a peaceful hillside, it's a short walk away from the pretty village of Machen and, if you love parkrun, Coed Cefn-pwll-du, which is said to be the toughest in Wales and serves a fabulous selection of post-run toast and cakes! Matt couldn't do enough to help before and on arrival, and I'm so glad to be in the know about this lovely site. Thank you Matt, and see you again soon!

Perfect spot!

Mi è piaciuto Matt was super nice and hospitable and just wanted to make sure we had a great stay. We were given the option of where we wanted to pitch and our location felt like we were on our own in the woods which was amazing and peaceful.

Lovely little camping site on the farm

Mi è piaciuto It is very quite and beautiful spot with stunning views. You can relax listening to singing birds and feel close to the nature. Perfect place if you like basic semi wild camping experience without to many people around you. The owner is very welcoming, helpful and hospitable. We had lovely stay and we will be coming back to this beautiful and tranquil place again soon.

Mi è piaciuto I found this campsite online and went with my mother. We found that the owner was lovely and very helpful making sure we wouldn't get lost when we had a route change (we took public transport from Cardiff). There are lovely walks all around and shops close-by if needed. The campsite itself was nice as well, a field kept as wild as possible to help encourage wild-life to come by, which was evident from the butterflies we saw! But also maintained in a way that is comfortable for guests, such as mowing long grass to make space for tents and putting in concrete steps to the toilet so guests don't fall.
