Questo campeggio offre una fuga rurale tranquilla e panoramica con personale accogliente. Non mi è piaciuto Where we put our camper van there was a lot of horse (dried ) poo and thus got in our shoes as we walked in and out of the camper van . There was no one there at reception to greet us at any time .

Mi è piaciuto The equistrian centre is in a breathtaking location. The campsite is behind the main building and stretches across two fields in a long valley. The horses graze on the hillside, but in the evening all sorts of wildlife can be seen on the hillside.
Inside is a small living room like space where you can charge batteries or play a game. Facilities are not charming but clean and functional.
The town is within walking distance but downhill.
Non mi è piaciuto The fields where you can camp are not straight. That means that when it gets busier it will be harder to find a good spot to pitch your tent.
It would be nice to have a fridge and/or freezer for camping guests.

Great pitches, view, but not quiet.

Mi è piaciuto Large pitches and you can pitch where you want. We were in the middle of one field with hardly anyone nearby. View - 360 degrees of nature around you. Feeding the goats, ponies and alpacas were fun. Showers, toilets and lounge clean. Electric kettle in common room, very useful and helpful.
Non mi è piaciuto It clearly stated that it had to be quiet after 9.30pm on both pitch up as well as the personal website of the site, however, there was a lot of noise after 9.30pm. Others including ourselves complained, however, nothing was done regarding the noise. This is a shame as we specifically booked because of this, due to having small children. Fortunately we were further away from the noise, had we been closer we would have felt compelled to cut our visit short.

On site cafe, coffees, teas, cakes, English breakfast.
Clean showers / toilets.

Cute farmyard animals (horses, baby goats, llama, alpaca).
Very clean toilet areas.
Powerful, hot, showers.
Electric kettle.
Two sinks for washing up.
Coffee machine in the cafe.
Useful firepits available for hire.
Lots of dry firewood in neighbouring fields.

Sloping field, not as many flat spaces for pitching tents as one might have liked.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely place, lots of space, animals to visit (alpacas, goats, peacocks). And plenty of horses from the equestrian Center. Facilities also helping a comfortable stay with good number of toilets and showers, lounge with kettle, books, some toys etc. and from about 8-4 also the chance to buy coffee food from the cafe. Shops not too far and view to white chalk horse across the road. Oh and a chance to ride as well (we didn’t but other campers did).
