What customers say
Stunning views, chilled rural vibe. Friendly staff, great facilities & animal encounters (alpacas!). Easy access to countryside & Westbury's White Horse. Minor gripes: long grass, post-quiet-hour noise, parking distance. Cafe hours/prices flagged by some.

A nice site and great location. But with some downsides!
Safari tent
Liked The accommodation itself was really nice. The safari hut was well built and in a good location. They were nicely spaced out so it felt more private. And surroundings were very picturesque with great views of the sunset.
Disliked The owner was very blunt/rude upon arrival. So much so that I wasn't even sure they were the owner to begin with. I also paid the optional add on for a fire pit. These were banned by government the day before my arrival. He refused to give us a refund for this. Seems like a scam considering we couldn't use what we paid for and this wasn't included in the price of the hut it was an add on.
Also the 2 toilets in the safari hut area were completely unusable. Both full to the brim with poo. And the one door wasn't private when closed. Very disappointing.

A lovely weekend at a peaceful farm stay
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked A very sweet pop up working farm stay with welcoming staff, clean serviceable toilets and lots of fresh drinking water. The farm animals, the horses, the little club house for the children and the quiet location next to the White Horse with sweeping views made it a magical experience. We had plenty of space to pitch up and the few other campers present were friendly and considerate. The sunsets were breath taking from our tent. If you want a 'back to basics' kind of retreat, this is a great choice.
Disliked My only gripe was no hot water at either sink at the washing up station.

Perfect for a quiet get-a-way. Showers not so great.
Unpowered grass motorhome site
Liked If you want a basic, quiet and beautiful location, this is perfect. Site was very clean, very spacious. Kids able to run free and be kids. The animals were a delight to watch.
Disliked Site was very much let down by the showers, which are poorly designed and to be honest not clean. There is no where to put your dry clothes, towels and toiletries without them getting wet. One hook on the door is not sufficient. The grates were unfortunately full of hair. However, the toilets and wash basins were spotless. The theme is very rustic and basic which is fine. Wasn’t keen on the lounge area.

Lovely campsite in lovely location
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Beautiful set up , lovely sun sets, not busy , good toilets and showers, close to longleat , the white horse on the hill and eating places and takeaways, loved the animals there which the kids loved, was fun to see the horse riding lessons too
Disliked It was a shame the coffee place wasn’t open on Saturday , maybe some fairy lights would be good to lead the way to the toilets at nighttime, animals were a bit noisy in the morning so don’t camp right next to them

Unpowered grass motorhome site
Liked Nice location with the white horse close by to walk to
Disliked Where we put our camper van there was a lot of horse (dried ) poo and thus got in our shoes as we walked in and out of the camper van . There was no one there at reception to greet us at any time .

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked The equistrian centre is in a breathtaking location. The campsite is behind the main building and stretches across two fields in a long valley. The horses graze on the hillside, but in the evening all sorts of wildlife can be seen on the hillside.
Inside is a small living room like space where you can charge batteries or play a game. Facilities are not charming but clean and functional.
The town is within walking distance but downhill.
Disliked The fields where you can camp are not straight. That means that when it gets busier it will be harder to find a good spot to pitch your tent.
It would be nice to have a fridge and/or freezer for camping guests.

Great pitches, view, but not quiet.
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Large pitches and you can pitch where you want. We were in the middle of one field with hardly anyone nearby. View - 360 degrees of nature around you. Feeding the goats, ponies and alpacas were fun. Showers, toilets and lounge clean. Electric kettle in common room, very useful and helpful.
Disliked It clearly stated that it had to be quiet after 9.30pm on both pitch up as well as the personal website of the site, however, there was a lot of noise after 9.30pm. Others including ourselves complained, however, nothing was done regarding the noise. This is a shame as we specifically booked because of this, due to having small children. Fortunately we were further away from the noise, had we been closer we would have felt compelled to cut our visit short.
