Buckland Farm Camping

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful location peaceful and picturesque. Really amazing views and the pitches are spacious and well maintained. Lovely little tent for the kids to go to get out of the extreme sun although was pretty hot in there but was comfortable and very cute.

Non mi è piaciuto One tap for drinking water and everything else you need so could cause contamination. Toilets weren’t the best, flies in the toilets were bad and my son came down with D&V during the night and so did myself and my daughter within 12 hours of leaving. Could be a coincidence we didn’t eat anything other than super noodles that day so wasn’t like I could put it down to food we ate. Just a shame we all got sick as the site was beautiful.

Health and safety of our guests is taken very seriously, and I was sorry to hear in the morning of your stay that your son had been unwell.
Given that your stay was only one night and the fact that we have had no other reports of illness from guests, we are confident the D&V did not originate here. We maintain high standards of cleanliness (see our other reviews), and clean surfaces in the loos twice a day. In addition, every loo is provided with hand sanitiser. Our eco loos are completely sanitary, and kept to the same standards of cleanliness as a flush loo would be.
Regarding the flies, there was an isolated incident where a guest had incorrectly deposited food waste in the loo. This was dealt with. There are plenty of other loos around the site, all fully open and clean.
As explained in our pre arrival email and when we met on site, there are three cold water taps and a hot water tap for guest use.
We wish you a speedy recovery.
Finally, we are pleased you liked the peaceful and picturesque location, views, and specious well maintained pitches, and that the children were able to enjoy playing in the picnic and play tent when it was very hot and sunny.

Mi è piaciuto Loved how peaceful it was, plenty of room between pitches to have peace, the facilities were clean and cozy, hot water showers, and washing up, somewhere to keep your cold blocks cold, easy to get to if you follow buckland farm on satnav, some lovely days out if you like wandering villages for quirky shops. Host popped over to give us the run down, super down to earth. Thank you to the team keeping this place looking perfect

Mi è piaciuto This was our very first trip out in our campervan, so we chose somewhere close to home in case our dog didn’t take to van life — but we needn’t have worried! Buckland Farm Camping was a brilliant place for a test run. The pitch size was excellent, everything was clean, and the owner gave clear, helpful explanations when we arrived. We especially appreciated the off‑lead area, which made it easy for the dog to settle and explore safely.

Even though we’re local, it felt like a proper little getaway and a great introduction to camping in the van. We’d happily come back again :)

Mi è piaciuto We love the big open space, the large pitch sizes not too close to others, the number of birds, the fact that hedgerows etc are kept quite wild to attract wildlife. We like the compost loos and the fire pit/wood availability. We also like that you can self check in and check out without any fuss. We have stayed before and will stay again!

Mi è piaciuto Great site for non electric requirements.
Pitches are huge- easily fitted our 33ft Fifth Wheel Trailer and our Ford pick up truck to pull it (that's 22ft on its own)
Excellent shower and toilet facilities- absolutely spotless!
We haven't got dogs (yet!) But love the fact they have fenced off areas too so your dogs can run free, enjoy themselves without getting into trouble with other dogs or people.
Some great pubs within 10 min drive for incredible food.
Highly recommend and will be spreading the good word on Instagram, Facebook and TripAdvisor. 👍
