Mi è piaciuto: The facilities and welcome at this campsite were great. Composting toilets were clean and well put together as was the shower and there was a large shared forepit lit for the whole campground by the hosts. The hosts were welcoming and knowledgeable and the site is dog friendly. Nearby woods are a stones throw away and make for very good walking. Thank you for a great stay!
Non mi è piaciuto: The site is on a bit of a slope which can be annoying and you have to remember to bring your own drinking water - as stated in the site info.

Mi è piaciuto: A beautifully simple and uncomplicated campsite set in the woods. There is everything you need and nothing you don’t. The Geography locally will mean that bringing a large motorhome or caravan on site will present challenges but for a campsite that offers a real sense of remoteness and peace while not being utterly distant, this cannot be beaten. No wifi (perfect); no amenities (because you have Dartmoor); no baby change facilities (not the point of the campsite).

Mi è piaciuto: The location was great! Was a bit hard to find and not well signed posted but we found it and had a great stay and was nice to just go for a beautiful walk straight from the campsite instead of driving somewhere!

Mi è piaciuto: Beautiful location up on Dartmoor. Lovely walks straight from the campsite. Chilled atmosphere. Friendly owner. Very dog-friendly. Great communal fire pit.
Non mi è piaciuto: For me, I was a little anxious as dogs are allowed to run free and my dog can be reactive when approached. But that's just my situation and, as it was, there were no issues. Quite hard to find but well worth it when I did!

Non mi è piaciuto: Very small roads to access the site and after a lot of rain recently the main entrance was unusable and the “backup” entrance is most likely to cause you to drag the tail of your camper/motorhome. The site has very few level areas

Mi è piaciuto: What a gem mark met me at the gate on arrival and was nice person to have conversation with Site is very clean and tidy His woodland is magical He even showed me to gidleigh tor and an old ruin on his land Definitely be visiting again
