Golden Coast Leisure Park

Mi è piaciuto Short distance by car to the beach,
Decent sized pitch down the bottom.
Bowling was great.shop was well stocked.

Non mi è piaciuto Bins were overflowing, elsan point was blocked on several occasions. Toilet block always out of loo roll. Indoor pool water was murky. Sloping pitch, children kept toppling off their chairs. Paid for wifi but it didn't work. Very slow at the entertainment bar to be served.

Mi è piaciuto Lots of on site activities and a good set of amenities. Absolutely brilliant for families with a choice of swimming pools, arcade, entertainment etc.

Food was good, priced as you'd expect and the on site shop (Nisa) was reasonable too.

Nice that the site is very dog friendly.

Even though it was very busy when we visited it didnt feel rammed and we could always find somewhere quieter to sit/eat etc

EHU points were close and water and waste nearby. Pitches well serviced.

Good location if you want to go out and explore the area.

There's a bus down to the beach otherwise you're looking at £14 for a day parking (£7 if you just do the morning) Don't try to walk from the site to the beach, you will get squashed on the main road!

Non mi è piaciuto This is a very family focused site and we went in the school holidays (met family there) so the negatives will mostly reflect this, please bear this in mind!

Pitches are a good size but absolutely crammed in on the site. Any spare space is a pitch.
Gravel hardstand pitches are pretty much a car park. Some of the pitches further away from the amenities have some planting, but they are also closer to the plastic chair graveyard/dumping area and much further from the shop, pool etc.
The lodges are far nicer laid out but also incredibly expensive.

Shower block fine, but be aware that the showers are push button and the button gives approx 3 seconds of water. You need to hold it in continuously to shower. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues (I do not know if they have a disabled shower)

The pub at the bottom of the site is nice but it is still part of the site so the menus are very similar. Don't assume this is a better/posher experience. It does have a play park and outside seating.

Wasps! The site could do with investing in some fake hives to keep the wasps away, they were a complete pest.

Seagulls! The site could do with some 'don't feed the seagulls' signs. People were and thats not a good thing.

Noise. The main entertainment ends quite early so you will get a relatively peaceful night, but this is a family site and we found it quite a noisy site because of this.

General site etiquette and other guests - if you're used to little local sites or adult only sites this place probably isn't for you. But if you want lots for kids to do whilst you chill out at the pool or watch TV in your tent then it's going to be spot on.

Mi è piaciuto As in a nice quiet pitch in the park everything worked fine even got WiFi on the pitch. Toilet and shower blocks were extremely clean and all staff were very helpful there was something to do for everyone

Non mi è piaciuto We only got 1 hour in the outside swimming which by the time you sit down and set up it’s time to go again but nothing major

Mi è piaciuto Great venue. Lots for the children of all ages to do on site. The pools were great fun and the Nisa shop on site was handy. The activities are reasonably priced too. The night entertainment was good and the food in the shack was fast and good quality.

Non mi è piaciuto Not so much a dislike, but evening entertainment is focused on young children then adults. Maybe something could be done for teenagers?

Mi è piaciuto The staff were great but unfortunately we couldn't stay as my husband scraped the caravan down a walled fence, so we had to leave 45 minutes after we got there
There was an Irish family that were so kind and helped us cover the window frames in the rain and the campsite gave us gaffa tape too.
We will return when the van is fixed

Mi è piaciuto We really liked everything, staff where so welcoming supportive friendly did everything to help ☺️ everywhere was clean and modern, the bowling alley was so much more than expected great food drink and really decent bowling lanes, cosy corners to drink chill with friends too, arcades were fun little short staffed but they did the best they could, swimming pools great well organised and plenty of lifeguards on hands to keep everyone safe, both indoor and outdoor pools , outdoor was so lovely and warm super clean, crazy golf and extras like waves surfing and climbing wall, were reasonably priced and kids and dads thoroughly enjoyed it all, the restaurant by entertainment was great for breakfast, kids clubs discos all fantastic, lovely restaurants with kids play area outside was also lovely clean and good service again, the location is 2mins drive to beach or can catch bus so easy and parking for campers and vans as well as cars parking charges is£6 or £12 a day so helpful for us being able to take campervans, so good we booked an extra night, and didn’t want to leave thanks Golden coast leisure park

Non mi è piaciuto That you had only 1hr slot for outdoor pool I understand it keeps it fair, but to que in morning for tickets from 8am until reception opens at 9am felt Extreme, then to only be allowed a one hour slot, we only did this once I guess easier and quieter days you can select a couple of hrs maybe!

Also camping showers were not regulating well was too hot for kids and myself really, the button lasted 2seconds before water stopped running so then you have to keep one hand in button, quite hard to wash hair like that 🤣🫣

Non mi è piaciuto - not much grass, pitches are gravel and a bit like a car park.
- booking system for outdoor swimming pool is awful.
- shower blocks could do with a refresh.
