Tin mines, cool coves and steam railways… Sunny Corner is a top pick for laidback outdoor breaks on Cornwall's north coast, with plenty of things to do in easy reach. This small and well-maintained campsite is in a 10-acre field on the edge of the village of St Agnes with stunning sea views, spacious pitches and easy access to all the village's amenities (about 10 minutes' walk away). Families certainly aren’t forgotten here, as the site is well equipped for all ages. There’s a spacious open field where the kids can blow off steam and make new friends in a safe and welcoming environment. And in terms of practicalities, Sunny Corner has modern toilets and showers for guests, all of which are well-maintained and a short walk away from the pitches. Whenever you need to restock on the essentials (local produce like milk, eggs, bread, bacon and a few items that are easy to forget), head to the small shop that sits at reception. The shop also sells and hires out firepits, plus firewood, kindling and firelighters. Sunny Corner is in the area of St Agnes known as Wheal Kitty, so you’ll only be a short five-minute walk from the historic buildings of the Blue Hills Tin Mine, where there’s a small exhibition about Cornwall's industrial past. Trevaunance Cove, a spectacular lifeguarded beach, and the more secluded Trevellas Cove are around a 10-minute walk away, while other coastal havens like Perranporth can be reached in as little as a 10-minute drive. Food on the brain too? Don’t worry, as you’ll be well set with a number of family-friendly cafés, pubs, restaurants and a couple of small supermarkets in the village that are easy to reach on foot within roughly 10-15 minutes.

Mi è piaciuto We had a lovely stay at Sunny Corner Campsite.

The facilities were great — the toilets and showers were spotlessly clean and well maintained throughout our stay. There’s also a lovely little on-site shop, which was really handy for picking up essentials without having to head out.
Kate was super friendly & welcoming. You can see her every morning on her bike doing her rounds. 😊

Overall, a brilliant clean campsite with a friendly atmosphere & excellent facilities for a comfortable stay.
We’d definitely recommend Sunny Corner Campsite and would happily stay again!

Mi è piaciuto A great site with walks down into St Agnes and the coast. Facilities were clean.

Non mi è piaciuto As other reviewers have said it could do with a few more showers and doesn’t have a chemical waste disposal which was odd, especially as the site is not a cheap stay.

Mi è piaciuto Being able to pick your own pitch, chose a quite corner away from the crowds due to having the dogs with us.
Nice walks for the dogs close by and easy reach for visiting various beaches and towns.
Nice clean showers and toilets was concerned at first with how many people were onsite on if you they not be cleaned and if you would have to wait about, but no issues and must have been cleaned regular unless very courteous campers helped.
Shop looked nicely stocked although I didn’t use it.
Nice clean site and weather was on our side would visit again.

Mi è piaciuto Sunny Corner is a really great campsite. The facilities are simple but well managed, toilets always had plenty of loo roll and were clean. We really liked the showers. Nice flat land to pitch a tent on. The location is perfect for scenic walks and walkable to St Agnes.
We found Kate to be helpful and friendly.

Dal gestore: Thank you for your feedback, there is a sign above the freezer saying "please put your icepacks in the bags provided and write your name on them", maybe I need to add to this, I wish you had told me I have many icepacks I hand out to people that just leave them behind. I usually end up with half a freezer full at the end of the season.

Mi è piaciuto Option of a quiet zone which was a good idea.

Excellent location.

Views of the sea from the quiet zone.

The onsite shop which we used to buy milk, bacon and croissants. Not too pricey either.

Tubs were available for wetsuit rinsing.

Showers and toilets were clean.

Non mi è piaciuto Feel like there could be more showers and toilets available considering the amount of people camping.

Non mi è piaciuto Having to manually open and close the gates every time you arrive or leave is a little annoying.

Get your hands on Cornish tin products to take home with you and see how the family goes about the ancient tin mining process at Blue Hills Tin Mine (five minutes' walk). After a lesson on the tin mining industry, there’s rockpooling at Trevaunance Cove (10 minutes' walk) or surfing at Perranporth (10 minutes' drive) to keep up the pace. Indeed, while there are so many places within around 10 minutes’ drive of the site, it doesn’t hurt to go a little further out, especially when there are coastal hotspots like Newquay (25 minutes) or Falmouth (35 minutes) to hand. These bigger places have plenty of entertainment in the form of watersports, amusement parks or shopping… and for steam train trips, there's Lappa Valley (30 minutes). Cornwall’s well-known for its coast, of course, but there are also some gorgeous gardens that make for a great afternoon out in this southern part of England. There are the rainforest biomes of the huge Eden Project (50 minutes), which has a daring zipwire and giant swing too – or Trebah Garden (45 minutes) for a taste of the sub-tropical beside the coast.
