Mi è piaciuto Wide pitches, pretty site, easy to get around, really clean and tidy, good access to park and ride for Bude.

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful campsite, grass kept lovely. Nice and private. Lovely and quiet though the week, became busier at the weekend but still very relaxing and peaceful. Perfect location 10 mins from widemouth bay, 10 mins from Summerleaze beach, 15 mins from Sandymouth beach. Park and ride outside the campsite to take you into bude.

Mi è piaciuto Pitches were well maintained and nicely spread out, WiFi worked well, lovely children’s park on site and campsite in great location for exploring Bude.

Non mi è piaciuto Toilets were not kept cleaned, and the sinks for washing up were not piped properly meaning all the drained water was just flowing out behind the sink into the ground.

Non mi è piaciuto At 9am the site handyman decided to light a bonfire with the wind direction blowing the smoke & ash across the campsite, black toxic smoke that stank and made you feel unwell, the ash fallout deposited on everyone's tent, caravan, & car, more alarming was the exploding aerosol cans going up into the air. The fire became so big & out of control that Bude fire service was called and had to extinguish the fire, eventually someone from the park came to see what was going on and said "its only grass cuttings being burnt", the fire service found plastic & household rubbish was being burnt. Then at 11pm that evening fire service called back as fire was burning again....................no person from the park came to talk to their customers or offer any apology whatsoever and apparently this is not the first time they have been burning rubbish whilst they are people holidaying on their site!

The incident you describe began when waste was mistakenly placed by campers failing to used the main bins. Due to wind conditions.The fire service was called promptly and extinguished the fire quickly. Later that evening they came back and checked. It was out.
In 16 years we have never had a fire-related incident of this kind, and we are committed to ensuring it never happens again. The safety and comfort of our guests will always come first.

Mi è piaciuto The site was quiet, easy to find and within walking distance from the park and ride into Bude.

The wash block was clean and functional.

Non mi è piaciuto Proper locks should be fitted to the toilet and shower doors rather than relying on a bolt resting against a worn part of the timber door frame.

The showers also lacked any shelf to put anything on although there are hooks for towels.

Mi è piaciuto Great location, easy to find. Working, hot showers. Lovely well kept site, very pretty. A nice play area for young children. We would definitely return.

Mi è piaciuto Campsite pitches were good, grass and flowers troughs were kept well and looked pretty.

Non mi è piaciuto The toilet and showers were a disgrace.
There were old wooden huts that had spiders and ivy growing in them. The bases of the showers were old painted concrete, no hooks to hang any of your clothes or towels. No paper hand towels in the toilets to dry your hands. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this campsite.

Our toilet and shower blocks are indeed traditional wooden buildings, which some guests find rustic. They are spacious enough and cater to the wider camping fraternity. They are inspected and cleaned three times a day. Cleanliness and comfort are important to us. All part of the camping experience. The showers have proper shower mats.
We regret that you wouldn’t recommend us, but we hope you can see that we note your feedback .
