Field End Campsite

Mi è piaciuto: We liked the size of the site, lots of space, and all the birds flitting about using it feed their young. Each pitch is very close to a drinking water point. There are 2 big shower/toilet rooms in a shed like building, they are open around the top. All very clean and lots of pretty flowers and trees newly planted. We enjoyed walks and runs from the site. Lots of different seating areas and fire pits with wood on site.

Non mi è piaciuto: It was sunny when we went but the sun doesn’t warm the shower rooms as the roof is solid too. It was very cold to shower in there. We wonder if a clear roof would warm them up. The owners have some lovely big friendly dogs. We weren’t keen on the poops they left around the campsite.

Dal gestore: Thank you for the review, the showers run hot if you wish just turn the dial and the poop was not our dog as our dog do not wonder the pitches unless we are there,and it was a bit small for our dogs. , but we picked it up anyway it actually belonged to another camper that was there for 3 xnight Sorry you were not happy but we try our best.and you can not please everybody all the time.

Mi è piaciuto: Small, quirky, really well-kept and well thought out campsite with spacious pitches. We felt relaxed from the moment we arrived - Richard and Karen were very friendly, welcoming and helpful and always around if we needed anything. Lovely pub a short walk away. We'll definitely book to go back to Field End.

Mi è piaciuto: Really peaceful tranquil clean campsite. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying on this campsite. The campsite owner is also helpful and friendly.

Mi è piaciuto: Spent a lovely weekend at this small site. The facilities were clean and showers very good. Very quiet and great place to connect with nature. Good to have free wifi as not much signal. Very friendly owners who share their duck eggs and fire wood. Will be back!

Mi è piaciuto: Karen and Richard were really lovely hosts. The facilities were great, as promised it’s a small adult site. We went with two other couples, one in a tent and one in a camper, and we stayed in the bell tent they provide. Everything was very clean and cosy. We went in terrible weather but the bell tent had more than enough space for us to sit in and play cards etc. The facilities were really clean and cosy, and was nice the site was lit up for walking over. It’s also privately gated which you get a key fob for, so feels very secure and all of your belongings. While we were there, it was a storm with winds and rain but as it’s all hedged in we had minimal effect on the tents. Also have additional facilities of bbqs and for pits and a large space to sit outside under shelter for all plots. The bell tent itself comes with everything you would need, also provide tea and coffee, fresh eggs. Kept us really warm and dry even in torrential rain for majority of stay.

Non mi è piaciuto: Would recommended in the bell tent a matt for the opening of the tent on the muddier days to keep boots on just to protect the carpeting in there and the same for the toilet area to have a matt to wipe off most the mud to prevent going anywhere.

Mi è piaciuto: We loved the camp ground as it was so beautiful with the duck pond and all the space! The couple that owned the grounds were so so kind and helpful! Myself and my boyfriend had never been camping before and we needed a little extra help with things and they were more than happy to help us with fire wood and lending us a pump to blow up our air mattress! Was lovely to sit on the swings and chat with Richard’s wife and joke about our lack of camping skills! They also have the cutest doggies ever! Would defo come back and spend the night, next time with a bigger tent and an airbed with a pump! Thanks for having us x
