Lepe Beach Campsite

Mi è piaciuto The space and view - could see for miles across the sea and very close to the beach - plenty of room on the campsite for everyone - the eco toilets and showers were kept clean several times a day - reassuring also when the security person drove (slowly) round the site several times in the evening
Pizza on the Friday is a great option and bacon sandwiches on a Saturday means you don’t have to carry so much food .

Non mi è piaciuto Not having an option to stay on longer if needed (only open for weekends) - check out later on a Sunday isn’t available which was a shame especially when only arriving late ish on the Friday
The music noise from some campers on the other side of the field on the sat night wasn’t dealt with very quickly which was a shame especially as everyone else had their music down much lower as to not interfere with anyone else but wouldn’t stop me staying at this site again.

Mi è piaciuto Great facilities which are kept very clean.
Eco toilets take some getting used to, but kept clean and are well maintained.
Hot water daily which was a nice surprise!
Direct access to beach.
Options to hire fire pits.
Onsite shop selling some basics.
Breakfast menu and pizzas.
Opportunity to hire pre-pitched tents.

Mi è piaciuto I liked the view to the beach from the campsite and the amount of space you can camp on.

Non mi è piaciuto I did not like the toilets because they were always smelling bad and there was no disabled access toilets.

Mi è piaciuto Spacious campsite and good options to choose pit.
Horizontal area. Very good for kids to play active games. Actually there were a lot of kids playing.
Top soil even grass, but has thick layer of gravel. Good for walking barefoot, but extremely difficult to push tent pegs in. First time in my life I had to use hammer.
Close to see. Good view to see ships arriving to Southampton port.
See is relatively shallow. Better for swimming on high tide. On low tide water a little bit dirty.
Good option to order pizza or burgers on site. We personalny did not order as we had enough of our own, our neighbours did order and pizza was tasty.

Non mi è piaciuto Eco toilets. Please check before if those are suitable for you and your family members, especially for ladies. We were struggling to use. Even had to find public one on the beach.
Showers are closed for night. Please make sure you are in time 😉
While booking, it was mentioned that barbecues are allowed. On arrival we learned that the only approved BBQ design is rented locally - should be lifted from the grass (which is fair) and wood should be purchased on camp site only. Which makes £20 per night. With fireplace not designed for grill. That need to be considered if you like to enjoy grilling.

Mi è piaciuto Lovely family friendly campsite that is located right by the beach. Quiet at night, friendly staff. Toilets and showers clean and rarely any queue. Nice on site pizzas and a little shop. Easy drive to other beaches, new forest etc.

Non mi è piaciuto Showers close after they've been cleaned in the evening - not the end of the world but don't let it catch you out. They open again between 7 and 7.30 in the morning

Mi è piaciuto The first day 22nd May was nice lots of room toilets clean

Non mi è piaciuto By the 2nd and 3rd night it was far too busy - campers in the middle were on top of each other so driving to exit was difficult as kids had nets and games up in the spaces. The toilets were unbearable by day 3 we had to cut our stay short I was heaving using them. We went out to Tesco came back and someone had taken our parking spot next to our tent so we had to then park right in front of our tent entrance. Kids were up until all times and the fire smoke was entering our tent from all around where everyone was on top of each other.

Mi è piaciuto The Space / the beach / food onsite- we had pizza the first night , bacon rolls in the morning & then used the beach cafe in the day for icecreams snacks etc & then fish & chips just up the road for the 2nd night / little pop up shop for kids fun things with snacks & drinks
The team were super lovely & accomodating! We hired a fire pit which was awesome! Highly recommend ! We will be back next year

Otherwise the facilities were great’

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful veiws! Lovely campsite with all necessary facilities for a great camping experience! Without being completely wild. Children had an absolutely fantastic time. It really was a lovely place for our little family break from reality.

Mi è piaciuto It’s an amazing location, with nice flat pitches and plenty to do in the area. I was worried about the toilets being eco, but I needn’t had worried at all. Everything was clean and well looked after. The on-site shop, food and extras were so good, reasonably priced and we especially liked the pizza. The staff were so helpful and very friendly.
