Jacksmere Camping

Mi è piaciuto Loved Jacksmere. My 10 year old is an animal lover so the ponies ducks and chickens were a big hit. She also loved the trampoline. Plenty of toilets, and washing up facilities.

Mi è piaciuto Don't let the bad review's put you off. We stayed a weekend with our young daughter and had a great time. Dave the owner is a down to earth helpful guy and a good laugh. Our daughter got to ride the ponies and loved seeing the chickens and ducks on site. Toilet blocks are dated but always clean. Don't go expecting 5 star camping and you will be fine. We will defiantly be returning.

Common sense really but I get the negative review !

Mi è piaciuto Stayed for one night over the liverpool parade, with my adult son. The owners were lovely, had everything you need for a basic camping site. Had ponies walking around which was lovely.

Non mi è piaciuto Big field but all on top of each other in one corner. The price was £30 I paid £4.50 deposit online when booking and had to pay £25.50 cash on arrival. We was approached by the owner on arrival who asked for cash straight away told my partner it was £30 and took the full amount. I would have probably given it to him but he just took it which I thought was very rude. Later in the evening there was another tent pitch up right next to our tent we was just having a lie down when the owner shouted through tent door come for my money 🤬 I said u have already had it!! I was furious by this point. To top it off the tent that came late on was 3 teenage boys and they was up messing around till 1.30am which was when I finally fell asleep. When we got up we packed straight up and left never to return 😱😱

Mi è piaciuto Lovely campsite. Animals were roaming around kids loved it! The owner was lovely also!! Met a few others and had a big bonfire on the Saturday night! Hired a campfire. Clean toilets and shower area. Pool and bouncy castle for the children

Mi è piaciuto Lovely one night stay. Basic facilities but it’s all we needed for one night. Clean toilets and shower.

Loved the animals and the field was safe and enclosed for our 2 year old to not escape.

Slide and an inflatable for the kids and we rented a fire pit for the night to toast some marshmallows.

Brilliant stay owner really friendly would stay again.

Mi è piaciuto Ignore any horrible reviews! I have just come home after being there 2 nights. Arrived Friday tea time with my two daughters (25 and 16) and my grandson (5). Dave greeted us. We pitched our tent and he came over to have a chat, very nice, down to earth bloke. We got a fire pit with wood £20 which is what we normally pay at other sites. He even lit our fire for us! We had forgotten chairs and sat on towels. When we woke Saturday morning Dave had out 4 chairs outside our tent for us to use. We didn’t ask - he did this just to be thoughtful. And we appreciated it. There was a campfire on the Saturday night I don’t know if this is every week. Dave had a small inflatable, a slide, a trampoline and a blow up paddling pool in the field for the kids. These are old and very well used, but kids don’t care about that, good old fashioned, no frills, little apparatus to help keep little ones occupied. There were 3 small horses in our field which we loved - they were put away in the evening. We loved this. Friendly, no bother. The toilets and shower aren’t great but always had loo roll and we took them for what they were. Would we stay again - yes. Dave was lovely, and I haven’t had that service anywhere else and we’ve stayed in many fields. Also it’s literally minutes from Southport and an hours drive to Blackpool. Thank you Dave we have some lovely memories.

Non mi è piaciuto If I had to say something it would be the toilets and shower however we are talking about camping in a field so my opinion is “we had real toilets and a shower” which is better than none at all. If you want luxury/modern/new toilets/shower then stay at a holiday park.

Mi è piaciuto It is located in a quiet area, away from the main road. The structure is very basic, but the owner is extremely friendly and helpful.
The bouncy castle and small pool with a slide for young children are a nice addition.
The large campfire in the evening was a very pleasant surprise.
10 min drive from Southport attractions.
