Mi è piaciuto Could not have been easier upon our arrival. Details were text through to me with everything I needed to know. The pod was very clean, well appointed with a very comfy mattress. Good communication throughout our stay with Lisa made for a really pleasant experience. The price is very reasonable and the facilities were clean and well maintained. Plans to update the shower block will be a great benefit to the site. But regardless we will be returning for another stay soon.

Mi è piaciuto Friendly staff. Had a number to use if we had any issues which was answered straightaway. Roger helped us with a problem in our pod. He also was there to open up for the showers. Couldn’t fault the services available.

Non mi è piaciuto Noise from the road kept us awake.

Mi è piaciuto Clean inside. Good for overnight stay close to the M6. The cost was fair and we had a lovely evening meal at the pub. All in good value for money.

Mi è piaciuto The proximity to the start of our long distance walk as we started the King Charles 111 Coastal path from here and the footpath was at the front of the pod. Bed was very comfortable and the pod was very private to all other campers.

Non mi è piaciuto The pod is equipped with a diesel heater which i believe had been filled that day. No need really during a heatwave. Consequently the pod smelled very strongly of diesel. Not sure if some had been spilled during the refill. We tried venting the place by leaving the doors open but once closed the fumes were overpowering. We ended up sleeping with the doors open. Just as well it was June. The pod had a tv in it which wasn’t plugged in and there was no plug socket anywhere just some kind of large battery set up with wires coming off it. Some of which we’re lose and not connected properly to whatever it was they we're connected to. The host did send a man with a small generator to help the situation who explained the previous occupants had broken the only socket in the pod and it had to be removed. We tried the generator but i felt it was too noisy and i was worried about disturbing other site users. We couldn’t get the TV to work anyhow (no batteries in the remote control). We had to use a shower room inside the pub due to no showers available on the site. This was only available at certain times. The shower room was filthy. The shower room had not been cleaned in a long time. The carpet was filthy and the shower cubicle clearly had recently suffered a blockage and been unblocked but the blockage debris had been left in the shower cubicle. I won’t describe what it looked like. We have all seen blockages removed from showers/sinks etc. The campsite does have a toilet block. Toilets only with a small sink in each room. Pretty standard for this type of site. We chose not to eat in the pub so cannot comment on this. We did however sit outside and have a couple of drinks which were very nice and the staff very friendly and pleasant to talk too. The pod overall was very comfortable and we felt was good value for money. Located exactly were we wanted to be. Get rid of the diesel heater. It stinks the place out.

Mi è piaciuto The pod was beautiful the views are gorgeous. The staff are so friendly and helpful! Food was absolutely delicious in the restaurant.

Non mi è piaciuto Only thing that was slightly disliked was how loud the diesel heater is, couldn't really have it on late at night as was very loud outside the pod too! But definitely does not damper the place.

Mi è piaciuto We recently stayed in the Metal Bridge glamping pods and had such a lovely experience. The pods were warm, cosy, and very well presented, with everything clean and thoughtfully set up on arrival. They even have solar power, which was great for charging phones and watching a bit of TV in the evening.
We didn’t need to use the diesel heater at all, as the pod stayed perfectly warm—even overnight. It rained on our second day, but we stayed dry, snug, and comfortable the whole time, which really added to the relaxing feel of the stay.
The toilet block is quite basic, but it’s clean and has everything you need for a short stopover. The pub on site was a real highlight—fantastic food at very good value for money.
We’d seen a few comments about motorway noise before arriving, but honestly, we hardly noticed anything. Aside from the occasional train passing, which didn’t disturb us at all, it was peaceful enough that we slept right through until 9am. There can be a slight smell of asphalt at times due to a nearby plant, but it comes and goes with the wind and is completely out of the owners’ control—it certainly didn’t spoil our trip.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Another big bonus for us is that it’s dog-friendly. We have two small dogs, and it’s often difficult to find places that welcome pets and also offer somewhere to eat and drink with them—this place ticks all the boxes.
Overall, it’s a little gem and well worth a visit. We’d highly recommend it and would happily stay again!

Non mi è piaciuto Toilet block just needs a lick of paint but this didn’t spoil our trip in the slightest.

Non mi è piaciuto I never leave negative reviews but I don't want anyone to be in the same position I was. Couldn't find showers, toilets were dirty on arrival and no toilet roll. The noise from the motorway was horrendous, all night lorries beeping and there is possibly a construction site nearby as the sound of heavy machinery did not stop until 10pm. The windows may as well have been cling film. I was desperate to love these as a stopover on the journey up to Scotland but I was almost too tired to complete the journey the next day and my little girl only got max 4hrs sleep

The location of the showers were on the check in information that was sent to you before your arrival. There is also 2 phone numbers that you could call if you were unhappy about anything.

We apologise for the noise on the M6, unfortunately they were doing some resurfacing work and this was completely out of our control. We were never told that the work would be taking place.

Had you let us know about the noise we could’ve provided you with accommodation in the pub instead.

Apologies again however we do feel like putting the lowest score on all categories is a little unfair considering the main problem was not our fault and we were never made aware, therefore we never had the opportunity rectify it.
