Splendido sito boschivo ben curato, immerso nella tranquillità, con eccellenti servizi igienici riscaldati. Staff cordiale, piazzole spaziose. Ottima base per esplorare Ambleside e dintorni. Molti torneranno.

Mi è piaciuto Everything! Wonderful spacious hard standing pitches with no mud! Fantastic setting in a lovely forest. Immaculate modern toilet block with underfloor heating. Very welcoming warden met us when we arrived after reception was closed for the day as we got held up in traffic.

Non mi è piaciuto They have number locks on the toilet/ shower blocks which I didn’t like, but also they don’t allocate you a pitch. We had been on a lovely long walk for the day, we arrived at about 5pm and were told to choose any pitch which we did. After about 40 minutes setting up, as requested we walked back to reception and told them which pitch we were in.
We settled down with a drink and were about to make dinner when somebody knocked on our van to say we were in their pitch! They had been out for the day and when we looked, there was an A4 size laminated piece of paper with their details tied around the pitch number.
We hadn’t been told to look for that and just didn’t see it. It was dark by this time and we had to pack everything away and go to find the only other pitch available to start again.
We were only there for one night and it totally ruined our first weekend away for the season.

Mi è piaciuto All we can say is we loved this site. The location, the site, the pitch, the facilities the staff were all amazing.
Great walks for us and the dog around the site. The staff were so friendly and we're always around and about looking after the site.
Non mi è piaciuto Not a dislike, more of a comment. Maybe a few more lights around the sure for at night as my wife felt a little uncomfortable taking the dog out at night due to it being so dark, even with a torch.

Excellent toilet and shower facilities that are clean and well maintained.
Quiet touring pitch with water access very close by.
Lovely helpful staff.
