Oak and Stars Hideaway

Mi è piaciuto We liked the feel of the stay and the cabin was very cozy. The hot tub was the initial attraction of the stay. We liked the added lights to the garden perimeter and I loved the wreath on the cabin door. The location was very good. We spent an afternoon in Holmfirth exploring the shops, where there was plenty of places to eat and drink. We took our dog and walked her around Victoria Tower which was a 5 minute drive away. Our dog had as good of a time as we did! The host was very friendly, accommodating and responded quickly to our needs. Would love to visit again in the spring/ summer when we could take advantage of the outside furniture and BBQ.

Non mi è piaciuto We arrived by 5:30pm and with it now being winter it was very dark in and around the area which was quite difficult to navigate. So thank you to the host for the detailed instructions. The driveway could benefit from having some subtle lighting for visibility.

We very much disliked having to go home! We had the best weekend away!

Mi è piaciuto We loved the secret garden feel to this getaway. With plenty to enjoy from the cabin, a hot tub, a fire pit, relaxing seating, bbq and outside dining. The cabin was well kept and super cute! We absolutely loved the smaller details like festival vibe lighting. It’s almost like a self made retreat. We heard a lot of wildlife which gave us that true escape from the city. We also appreciated the retro radio which we used as background noise for hot tub time. A really lovely getaway and Chloe (the host) was super accessible, answered any questions and was informative. We will feature it on our TikTok - @JenandSamJam

Non mi è piaciuto No dislikes, just felt information overload for arrival however it was needed to find it. We would have loved access from the car park to through the log delivery gate for ease. But these are tiny things from such a lovely time we had away, we are sad to come home.

Mi è piaciuto Petite , clean and very well equiped.
The views are beautiful, the privacy is good. The hottub is very clean and easy to heat with the logs provided. Best of all was Toby the dog greeting us and giving us a lovely send off. Chloe , the owner was kind and helpful .

Non mi è piaciuto We stayed during the week when young people walking to and from school could be quite loud. Nothing to be done about this, it's a normal part of everyday life, just be aware that you will hear them during term time

Mi è piaciuto A perfect retreat! Although the hut is located on a piece of land just up from the owner’s house, it is entirely private. We spent our time only meeting the owner at the start and end of our stay.

The hut is perfectly supplied with a cooker, fridge and all the utensils etc you’d need. There’s a bbq outside too. All bedding and towels are provided. Basically, you’ve got everything you need apart from food.

The hot tub was just amazing (once I’d calmed my pyromaniac husband down!) and we sat looking at the hills across the valley.

The village is a ten minute walk away, with lovely independent shops and eateries. There’s no much not to love!
