Bolam Lake Camping Paddock

Mi è piaciuto: Excellent location - we like peace & quiet which it certainly was - lots of lovely walks around and spectacular views. Dave and Gill (the owners) were so very helpful, friendly and informative.

Non mi è piaciuto: Need to drive to eat out - but we barbecued anyhow

Mi è piaciuto: I don't want to shout too much about this site as I want to keep it all to myself! We had the best time - fabulous views, great location, owners where fantastic nothing was too bother. Facilities are basic but immaculate -this is a proper camping site back to basics, arrive, set up and chill. Will definately be using again and again as our bolthole weekend escape more often. Our doggie loved the early morning walks around Bolam lake (we had all to ourselves) and although i've had many day trips to bolam lake I hadn't realised it had so many paths leading off to hidden spots and views, great for kids too, stacks of places to play and build dens etc. Thank you David and Jill and keep this up its fabulous.

Mi è piaciuto: I went there with my 6 year old daughter and she loved the experience. A really nice site despite the rain. The views were fantastic and Jill the owner couldn't be more friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back.

Mi è piaciuto: Beautiful views across the field, the campsite was nice and quiet as we went just after the bank holiday. The toilets were checked morning and night and stayed clean and well stocked throughout our stay. The dish washing facility is basic but works, a kettle is supplied for hot water, they also supply eco friendly washing up detergent, bowl and scrubbing brushes. Bolam lake is just across the road for a lovely walk which was enjoyed by everyone, even the teenager! The owners are lovely and gave a very friendly welcome and checked in to see how things were going and if there was anything they could do to help.

Non mi è piaciuto: Nothing to dislike, enjoyable stay. Unfortunately due to the amount of rain I needed assistance to get out of the field but this is no fault of the owners.

Mi è piaciuto: This was a lovely immaculate run site with a really family feel ran by people who really cared and nothing was too much trouble. We were welcomed both on and and off the site. The weekend brought very wet weather and campers who found themselves struggling to get off the site were quickly assisted. The portaloos and dishwashing area were regularly cleaned and all campers were regularly checked upon.

Mi è piaciuto: Excellent facilities, David & Jill are really nice and helpful hosts. Would recommend to families with young or older children as the area is secure. Will definitely be booking again!

Our camping fields are safe and secure for children to play in and enjoy a bit of freedom. Bolam Lake Country Park which is just across the road is great for lovely walks and spotting wildlife.
