Mi è piaciuto: Well spaced pitches with plenty of room and not too close to your neighbours. Very peaceful Nice lady in the reception shed on arrival but only there when people were arriving.

Non mi è piaciuto: You do need some form of transport if wanting to go exploring as a bit isolated Didn't like the toilet/shower set up. Toilet/shower/basin all in one cubicle so if you just wanted to just use the toilet or sink & someone was using the showers the toilet was out of action for you. Some people would say use your own toilet but when you are paying for the facilities why not use them. My husband informed me there were no urinals in the men's block either. There were also no hairdryers in the shower block which I've never experienced before. The shower only stayed on for about 15 seconds at a time when pressed. When having a shower and washing long hair it's not ideal, it took so long to wash & rinse hair because of the shower going off so quickly that I was plunged into darkness as the lights are on a timer too! There were no shops, pubs etc within walking distance. There was a Toby carvery which you could walk to but it meant crossing a dual carriageway to get to it! One road in & out but quite narrow with a couple of blind bends, we luckily didn't meet anyone coming the other way. There is plenty of land so might be worth widening the roadway. Not sure I would stay again because of the location.

Mi è piaciuto: Clean and spacious pitches, grounds very well maintained, toilets all individual with own shower and sink. which was good, not far from York.

Non mi è piaciuto: Shower block not heated so very cold, lights on top of hook up constantly flickered all night, our phone signal was very poor while we were here, which isn’t the sites fault

The lights on top of the hook up point can be switched off at the hook up point. Unfortunately, unless someone advises the light is flickering we may not be aware that it is so that we can look into it.

Mi è piaciuto: Location good for park and ride . Sherry and husband are very senior. But lovely classy couple.

Non mi è piaciuto: Needs loads of money spending on it to update to modern standards. Sherry and husband are quite old and can’t afford it. But lovely couple. Xx

Mi è piaciuto: Very clean site. Our pitch was right by the play area so perfect to watch the kids. Nice spacing between pitches affording a level of privacy

Mi è piaciuto: Friendly Staff. Close to the park and ride for access to the city. Good cost.

Non mi è piaciuto: Toilet block was a little small but adequate for the number of people on the site when we stayed. If the site was full then it may have been more of an issue. Close to the main road A64 and A1237 so some road noise.
