Electricity. Compostable toilets. Waste disposal. Easy check in.
Loved the chickens and even the cockerel 😂

Non mi è piaciuto No showers but I knew that. Not the end of the world but would have stayed longer if showers available.

Mi è piaciuto Only stayed for one night but would have liked to stay more. I backpack and have stayed at a lot of sites, this is in my top ten easily.

Lovely natural environment with woodlands that mimics as wild camping feel as much as a site can. Pitch areas are in loose bays rather than the traditional 'everyone round the edge' situation.

Slept with my tent partly open to hear the deer rummaging in the woodland and woke up to birds.

Minimal facilities, but has what you need with clean toilets, drinking water and bins. Amazing for a camping experience if you love the outdoors. The chickens were a nice bonus.

Mi è piaciuto My husband, our 1 year old and golden retriever camped here for 2 nights and it was just wonderful! Plenty of space between pitches and our son loved being able to wake up to the views of the fields and chickens. The compost toilets were well maintained and stocked with toilet roll and other items. We will definitely look to stay here again!

Non mi è piaciuto Location. This would of been fine if we had a caravan with a car, but the site was advertised as being 0.6 miles from wells. It is actually located quite a bit out of the way with access off a national speed limit country lane with out any pavements. I love walking so the distance wouldn't of bothered me if it wasn't for the high speed drivers passing us with nowhere for us to go. When walking a dog this is really uncomfortable and I would definitely not stop here if you have a buggy or wheelchair. The site and owners are is lovely it's purely just access to and from wells which would put me off staying here again

Mi è piaciuto Beautiful location, the views were stunning. We received very detailed arrival instructions from the owners on the day which was really helpful. You could pick your own spot to pitch up (non electric only) and the site was clean - no litter or leftover mess from other visitors. Overall really easy and great value!

Non mi è piaciuto Anyone visiting should be pre-warned about the roosters!!! They started at 3.30am and were still going at 10.30am when we left. This really made for a challenging nights sleep ….but if you’re ok with the sounds of the countryside then you’ll be fine! The site also needs better/bigger signage from the road.

Mi è piaciuto It is a lovely site in the trees and next to a field. Clean, quiet and simple. Fire pits and log benches available to use when it’s not a drought. The compost toilets were fresh and clean and not the ports loo I was expecting. Huge dark skies to watch the meteor shower! Exactly what I wanted. I Will definitely be back.

It’s a 10 min drive to Holkham Beach which is stunning. (£14 for whole parking) no parking at the beach for high top vans at Wells.

Mi è piaciuto Easy self check in with all information provided by email in advance. Peaceful site with chickens roaming and scratching around and the occasional cock crow; proper farmy! Didn't use the toilets as had my own facilities so can't comment on them but fresh water, grey waste and chemical waste were all conveniently located. Was aware that there were no shower facilities when I made the booking but hadn't twigged there were no washing up facilities either (although this was not an issue for me, just something to note).

Mi è piaciuto I have reviewed the campsite as a joint review because we travelled with our Grandson they on the tent field us on a motorhome pitch. All comments made on that review apply. Nothing more to add.
We would stay again if in the area our Grandson probably not because of the cockerel so early at 3.15 am and the toilet situation when site full.

Mi è piaciuto Nice quiet site, ( for us ) well laid out with spacious pitches. It is well located for Wells to Walsingham light railway which could be hailed from the Warham stop across the road. Unfortunately as it is August the train was full so we walked in to the station in Wells but other times I’m sure it would be ok. Nice walk to a great pub in Warham and also to catch the bus at the top of The Street with option of going to Fakenham or into Wells and beyond even as far as Kings Lynn. We were with family who were in the tent field and they loved the field and the pitch size.

Non mi è piaciuto Unfortunately the bin situation wasn’t good. Both bins were full with the recycling bin locked and the household waste overflowing. I had a lot of bottles etc as we were with another couple so I put them in a bag by the bin. Eventually after 3 days the black bin got emptied but they also took the glass bottles which meant they were not recycled. The recycling bin never did get emptied after 4 days so I brought the rest home, not ideal.
We were in a motorhome so didn’t use the toilets but our family members were on the camping field so had to use them. They said while there were only 2-3 pitches occupied the toilets were fine and we did see the owners go to clean them twice, when the camping field was full the toilets became in a bit of a state so much so that my Grandson & Grandaughter in law started using ours. Luckily they did have that option. The cockerel didn’t bother us at all in the motorhome but in the tent they said they were woken at around 3.30am. We would come again if we were in the area but not sure about the tenters.

Our bins are emptied regularly, although during the summer holidays the campsite is naturally much busier and we do experience a significant increase in waste. We were sorry to hear that you found the recycling bin locked, as our bins do not have locks and the recycling bin should have been accessible. Had we been made aware during your stay that you were having difficulty accessing it, we would have been very happy to help you.

Our toilets are also cleaned twice a day. As they are composting toilets, however, they do require users to follow the guidance provided in order to keep them clean and functioning properly, particularly when the campsite is busy.

We always encourage guests to let us know if there is an issue during their stay. We’re usually able to rectify things quickly, and we would much rather have the opportunity to do so than for guests to leave disappointed.
