Mi è piaciuto Friendly welcome. Facilities were good and well maintained. Access to large field at back of camp site, my kids used it to play football with other kids on the site.

Mi è piaciuto Another fab stay here, camping field lovely and flat and well maintained. Showers, toilets and kitchen facilities all excellent and clean. Dogs loved the dog field once again. Great place to watch the eclipse from and also the Persiod meteor shower due to the fact that there was no light pollution. Can thoroughly recommend. Good variety of wildlife in the area, was fab to watch the bats at night and also hear the owls and foxes.

Mi è piaciuto Absolute hidden gem! It was very quiet and peaceful. Facilities were perfect and clean. The dog field was amazing too for our fury friends. As 2 adults and 4 pups we couldn't have asked for better. Pitch sizes were massive. As others mentioned road in was abit bumpy but slow and steady and it was fine. Staff super friendly. Can't wait to return. Oh and the views on a night were 😍 GORGEOUS!

Mi è piaciuto Large flat pitches with lovely dog walking area. Very peaceful and road not a problem if you take it slow !

Non mi è piaciuto Only downside here is the road leading in which is through no fault of Hawthorne. Just a watch out.

Mi è piaciuto Great spot, lots of space to pitch a tent, great facilities, very clean and quite useful to have a kettle. Lots of space to play in the adjacent field and quite quiet and tranquil first thing and in the evenings when walking about.

Mi è piaciuto Very relaxed, the owners were friendly and accommodating. Super dog friendly. Shower blocks were clean and well maintained.

Mi è piaciuto We had the best couple of days away. Our first ever camping trip and Roy was the perfect host. Spent time talking to us on arrival and made us feel very welcome

The amenities were brilliant. Clean and tidy. Fridges, freezer, kettle, microwave and toaster available. And a washing machine and tumble dryer. Dog poo bins stocked with poop bags. Nice touch especially with kids around.

Huge area for the kids to run around the grounds are so clean and tidy.

Lovely and quiet too. Couldn’t have asked for more for our first trip.

We’ll definitely visit again.

Non mi è piaciuto The only thing that was a slight inconvenience was the roads in. Single track for the last mile or so and lots of potholes. Not the owners fault and with a slow drive in, not an issue
