Micklefield Cottage

Mi è piaciuto: Lovely surroundings and really friendly owners. If you are looking for a peaceful break, this is definitely the place! We had a lovely time exploring the local area and enjoyed the fire in the evening. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was very comfy!

Non mi è piaciuto: Nothing really...only the fact that we struggled to get a phone signal and WiFi was intermittent (not the owners fault at all!)

Mi è piaciuto: The views, the accommodation, the owners, the facilities. Everything was perfect. Loved the chow shed a and Naomi and Mark were such lovely hosts. Very friendly and always available to help. Loved our overnight stay here and would love to come again. It was so peaceful and just what was needed.

Mi è piaciuto: I had the most wonderful stay at Mary's shepherd's hut. Naomi and Mark couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful, and the facilities are top-notch. The hut is lovely, with power sockets, heater & fan (neither were needed!), and an extremely comfortable bed. There's a well-equipped separate kitchen with dining area and woodburning stove, as well as separate toilet and shower (for your use only - not shared with anyone else). I spent a lovely evening sitting reading by the firepit, getting to know farm cat Lily (quite a character!), and listening to the sounds of the countryside. Thoroughly recommended.

Mi è piaciuto: Have stayed in many sites through pitchup this was one of the best. Seperate kitchen area was a definite plus, the shower and toilet facilities were spotless. The whole site was clean and well looked after. The owners could not of been more friendly and helpful. As an animal lover the onsite horses, cat and dog were a welcome delight. However if you are not a fan of animals they equally wouldnt bother you at all. Peaceful surroundings with walks you can take, short drive into a lovely village with shops and pubs. Would highly recommend this place and I will definitely be returning.

Mi è piaciuto: Everything.. just a couple of miles from Upton upon Severn. Beautiful scenery and walks. Naomi and Mark are exceptional hosts. Town of Ledbury nearby and worth a visit. Everything you need is here for a comfortable stay. Recommend.

Mi è piaciuto: We stayed for 4 nights in Jun 2023. We absolutely loved our stay. Very comfortable hut, with lovely views. We found the chow shed super useful - we prepared all our meals in there. The chow shed was fully equipped - I cannot think of anything that we needed that was not provided. Every evening we'd sit by the firepit and have a BBQ, and then enjoy the heat and the peace and quiet with a glass of wine. A very quiet and peaceful place to sit and watch the sunset. We were thrilled to see the horses when we arrived. The hut is perfectly placed close to the town of Upton. And we drove to the nearby Malvern Hills, the Combertons, Pershore, and the local farm shops. Hosts Naomi and Mark were lovely - very helpful and made us feel very welcome. While visiting, we heard about the festivals in Upton, and are already planning our next visit - we would definitely stay at Micklefield Cottage again!

Mi è piaciuto: We had a lovely few days staying in Mary's Hut. Situated close to the Malvern Hills, it was an excellent place from which to explore. Lots of great walking and exploring. We particularly liked walking to the Michelin starred pub 15 mins away. Our hosts had thought of everything to make our stay special. We would definitely visit again.

Mi è piaciuto: We spent a lovely bank holiday weekend in the shepherds' hut at Micklefield cottage. The setting is stunning, with a beautiful view over the paddock and onto the Malvern hills, the perfect retreat. The shepherd' s hut (Mary) is charming and very comfortable, you've so much outside space to enjoy, either sitting out on the decking or around the open fire. The 'chow shed' has everything you need, it's a cosy spot itself. Everything has been thought of for an enjoyable and stress-free stay. What really made it for us was how warm and friendly the owners Naomi and Mark are, full of information on walks and local areas to visit, they make you feel very much at home while allowing you to enjoy their perfect little spot in peace and tranquillity. Away from the cottage the nearby town of Upton on Severn is fun and very pretty with plenty to do and enjoy. Beyond is Ledbury and Tewkesbury which are both worth a visit. Micklefield cottage is certainly a place we'd love to return.

Mi è piaciuto: We chose this site as it is in an excellent location for the Malvern hills and surrounding area. The hosts were very welcoming and the facilities provided were everything you needed for a relaxing stay. There were tea bags and coffee provided with milk and bottled water in the fridge on arrival. A very enjoyable weekend and we hope to return.
