Lincomb Lock Caravan Park

Mi è piaciuto: The effort the staff put into the grounds is reflected in its lovely presentation. It really is a lovely spot. I was welcomed at my pitch and shown the facilities and given an option to use any pitch as other tourers weren’t arriving until the day after me, so I jumped into the 3rd one in upon entering the site which was nice and level. I took a 25 minute walk along the river to arrive at the town where I found a local pub and grabbed a meal and a beer before walking back, this time via the main road (footpath all the way and 25 minutes again). Tescos is in town as well so that’s really handy for any supplies. No wi-fi, but I knew that when I booked but the 4G signal was good as was my TV signal. My overnight stay was peaceful and undisturbed. The shower block/toilets facilities were immaculately clean and a short walk up a slope up by the site office. Access via a key coded lock (code given to you on both email and a note upon arrival). I found the booking notes on email very useful. Unfortunately I was given a heads up about there being an issue being attended to with the showers and there was no hot water early morning (6.15 am). This did not spoil my visit the cold shower soon woke me up :) I hope to return in the summer.

Non mi è piaciuto: Nothing to dislike for me - I enjoyed my stay and it was a nice visit. I do underhand that some with mobility issues may struggle with the slope up to shower facilities.

Mi è piaciuto: A very peaceful and well kept park just 50 minutes from home. The washroom facilities were perfectly clean and the water lovely and hot. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Mi è piaciuto: Nothing, we left a paid day early, just to get home.

Non mi è piaciuto: Lacked wifi, so unable to contact family, as usual on Saturday, despite wifi being on my list of requirements when booking sites, I read wifi was there. No facilities, though aware there would be no heating in them, they were inaccessible for me. Disabled unfriendly. Even using the chocks the pitch was unlevel, meaning a bad night sleep. All in all, there was nothing for us on this site, no facilities at all.

On our Pitchup page we detail that the park is peaceful, full of nature and tranquillity with beautiful surroundings, walks and wildlife. The facilities that we offer for a relaxing and comfortable stay are; clean and tidy washrooms (heaters will be installed very soon), pot wash, elsan, along with fresh water, grey waste drain and electric on all touring pitches. Our park does not offer disabled or Wi-Fi facilities - this is detailed on our Pitchup page. It is unfortunate that you had a disturbed night’s sleep, we would have been willing to help you level your campervan or moved you to an available pitch of your choosing, if you had informed us.
