Non mi è piaciuto: Everything! Toilets were awful,2 cubicles with 2 urinals next to them,walking in on a man at the urinals was not very nice,the smell of the Toilets well all I can say is hold your breath! Oh and no toilet roll or hand soap available so take your own,No one to show you where to park up,received a text 2 hours after we arrived telling us where to park,no one answered the phone after multiple times trying to call,im a big dog lover but seriously constant barking of the dogs belonging to I assume the owners was not good and I mean constant barking day and night! Would not stay there again even if it was free! Only got good marks for accommodation because it was our own campervan

Non mi è piaciuto: Dogs barking all night, I mean all night non stop. Not an isolated occasion as I’ve looked at other reviews. Not easy to find. Bit of artistic licence calling it Nottingham lakes

Mi è piaciuto: Site was nice, with swings for the kids and was very quiet. Very basic facilities, but everything you need.

Non mi è piaciuto: The dogs bark. A lot. Relentlessly. We were woken up at around 3am by a large dog which had pulled apart the bin bag of rubbish to look for food. In the morning there were 4 dogs, all from the owners house which is in the next field, all running around freely. They attacked our dog (a small pug). I had to rush to get her and put her into safety in the van. A few moments later, one then jumped up and pushed over our 2 year old. Yes, it was probably only trying to play, but again we had to put him in the van to keep him safe. Another small dislike was the amount of flies in the evening. But I appreciate that it is near a lake and stables so inevitable, this wouldn't put me off returning, the dogs, absolutely will.

Mi è piaciuto: That we had the field to ourselves

Non mi è piaciuto: Wasn’t clearly sign posted at all. Only noticed it once we drove past it. Once we arrived at the site we rang the number a handful of times and no answer to let us know what pitch to go on. (Didn’t end up mattering since we was the only ones there) once we hooked up to the electric it kept tripping off as soon as we did anything as the main fuse box for all the pitch’s was hanging off and I’m a very dangerous way. It wasn’t locked and all the bare wires was out on show which my little daughter could have touched if she got close enough. Nobody came a to make sure everything was okay. We could have been anyone pitching up. The little swing on site for the kids was broken. Wouldn’t go back.

Mi è piaciuto: We were welcomed by a lovely young man who showed us to our pitch with electric hook up. The field was clean, grass well maintained with adequate facilities. We had no problems with the electric during our 3 day stay and would recommend this site if you are looking at some where to get away from busy life. Toilets and shower were clean and fully operational.

Mi è piaciuto: Enjoyed the field even though we were the only family there for the whole weekend our little boy loved the swing set and the space

Non mi è piaciuto: Electrics were a bit hit and miss tried to call the number provided with no answer finally got Electric from the next hook up but did keep tripping the fuse box in our caravan

Mi è piaciuto: This site was really a tale of two halves We liked the location,as it was opposite a beautiful Nature Reserve ,and opposite fishing lakes (although as we were told you need to be a member to fish) The site was generally good,with water and waste facilities. It had approx 6 hookups. The toilet and shower facilities were clean,if a little unusual.( with a frayed and dirty towel hung up ?)

Non mi è piaciuto: The other half of this ,is that it is next to a very busy road which is noisy until 8pm,and then starts up again around 4.30am. It is also next to a huge Chicken facility,and we were fortunate in that the wind was blowing the faint odour away fron us. The toilet facility states only 1 person at once, as they are men and womens combined,but this does not take into account that children have to be accompanied. This situation should be resolved immediatley by introducing another toilet block,and making it seperate for men + women. The most worrying thing is that you cannot lock the outside door from the inside,and there is no way of knowing if it is occupied,thereby walking in to men on urinals.If the site was full,these toilet/shower facilities would not cope atall. There is no one to welcome you,however when we phoned the number (on very poor signage) the lady answered and was helpful. The grass needs cutting more often,and then the left over BBq trays would be there to see,and could have been cleared up. The dogs next to the field bark lets say 60% of the time, so we would not have liked a pitch next to them.
