Mi è piaciuto: Loved the site, the space, the set up, the facilities and the cafe.

Non mi è piaciuto: We were told our pitch in advance and arrived to find someone on it as they’d been moved to our pitch, but we hadn’t been told where to go instead. It all worked out but it was poorly handled at the time.

Dal gestore: Regretfully, the guests on another pitch spread out to far which impacted the pitch you were allocated, you called me and we discussed this at the time of your arrival and as there was plenty of space on the site itself, you were happy with the resolution to move up a bit. I was pleased to hear you were happy with your stay and will return one day, we will enjoy welcoming you again and thank you for taking the time to review. For the benefit of readers: We rely on guests to pitch themselves without our inspection, and as such, there is a degree of trust for all guests to pitch sensibly, without being greedy on taking too much space. The field is never full to capacity, there is always plenty of other unreserved spaces available (just in case).

Mi è piaciuto: Wonderful location, good clean facilities, we had a really nice pitch. Just an overall really lovely site and we really enjoyed our stay.

Non mi è piaciuto: We weren't big fans of the washing up at the pitch without hot water taps.

We are a rural site, clue is in the name and we have never wanted to be a formal site and as such, we offer water taps throughout the site and guests are informed ahead of their arrival (in the instructions), of this. It's camping, we want to remain rural and boiling a kettle for hot water is the option for our guests at their pitch. I believe we did provide you with a couple of bowls of hot water during your stay so I think we helped you with that. I was pleased however you will visit again.

Mi è piaciuto: We booked last min due to the sunny weather and we are so glad we did! The facilities were great, clean and they had thought of everything, from sun cream to fridge space! The cafe in the morning was brill, serving yummy food at a great price. We will certainly be returning!

Mi è piaciuto: This is a charming little site with beautiful views. My family and I stayed in our campervan, next door to my sister and family in one of the safari tents. The weather was glorious (unforecast!), and in advance the owner had kindly offered to move our dates in case we got stuck in the mud. Very glad we decided to come anyway! The cafe is great, very handy; the loos very clean and well stocked with everything from suncream to shampoo. Lovely walk into the village, with its excellent pub and brook for paddling.

Non mi è piaciuto: No staff on site outside of cafe opening meant we ran out of loo roll in the ladies on Sunday morning. But I always bring some so it was only a small inconvenience.

Dal gestore: We were all thrilled to read your lovely review and we appreciate the time you have taken to write this. In common with other campsites, and in our arrival details, we always ask guests to bring loo rolls as ours disappear very quickly. We also sell them on site above the Camper's fridges in a box marked "loo rolls" and there's an honesty box for payment - there were plenty there as I checked this morning (Tuesday). We top up loo rolls regularly but over the weekend it all seemed to go very quickly! I think some did go walking! I apologise for any inconvenience.

Mi è piaciuto: This place is absolutely magical!! First time camping with littlies and opted for the safari tent. What an experience! The tent was beautifully laid out with all the home comforts. We spent most of our time on the huge decking area and field, the kids absolutely loved it. Bathrooms were lovely, super clean and brilliantly decorated (who doesn't love bird wallpaper?!). We didn't realise there was a cafe on site, an absolute god send in the mornings. A bacon sandwich, sat out in the sunshine was heaven. The village is so picture postcard, it's gorgeous. A play park for toddlers is a five minute walk away and had everything they loved. Then just a little further and there was a ford where we took the kids paddling. Honesty cannot wait to go back! Thank you so much.

We were absolutely delighted to read your review, we are a tiny site and like to keep things "home from home", myself and our young staff and kitchen team go out of their way to make the experience lovely for everyone and we are thrilled you enjoyed your stay with us, we can't wait to see you again!

Mi è piaciuto: Nice small site with character in great location. Good facilities and cafe on site open mornings at weekend. Pretty village with small shop for essentials. Very good pub with excellent food.

Non mi è piaciuto: The air bed was flat, I pumped it up but woke at midnight on the floor. There was no one to speak to on the site. Thankfully I had taken two spare beds incase I needed them. Also we had adults in the bell tent next door who kept me awake from midnight until 4:30am. They were shouting loudly and were swearing etc.

Dal gestore: Thank you for your review. We blew up the airbed for you after you informed us that it had gone flat, indeed we replaced it with a new one. I am sorry that this happened. Regarding the people next door - this should have been reported to us - we are contactable every day by telephone, we come to site daily and in the village when we are not on site, we were on site Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings running the coffee hut so could have easily spoken to the guests next door - everyone is strictly informed about the quiet policy and I am sorry to hear you experience this - we are a family site, as such have quiet time rules from 11pm until 7am and could have spoken to them for you but on this occasion we were not informed so couldn't assist you. Our rule states that guests will be asked to leave if they are noisy. I see you will visit again and I hope that next time you will find everything less disturbing.

Mi è piaciuto: The size of the Safari tent and it's outside space also with garden furniture on the verandA, bench on the grass plus BBQ and firepit. Everything catered for. Lovely quiet location
