Sheephouse Campsite

Mi è piaciuto Loved the cleanliness of the facilities and the range of helpful things like freezers, charging points a plenty and the spotless toilets!
Kids loved the games room, nice to not have to pay for stuff like this for once. Family time playing games together!
The warm welcome by the host was also appreciated.
Car boot in the field directly next to it if that's your thing (I fortunately managed to drag my two away 🤣 saving me no doubt a small fortune)
WiFi is free too which is a nice touch. Doesn't quite reach to bottom of field but no issue really. Decent 4G signal on Vodafone but not Three.

Non mi è piaciuto Road noise from the 50mph road is noticeable in the day but does settle down at night. May have been worse due to the weekend with lots of motorbikers out in force!

Mi è piaciuto We stayed for two nights, we was greeted with a friendly smile, the showers and toilets were clean, washing up facilities. Would definitely stay here’s again. Price was excellent too

Mi è piaciuto We absolutely loved this campsite. Tim and Miriam are brilliant campsite hosts, who are always on hand if you need them, but still give you plenty of privacy and space. Plus they were just super lovely people to talk to.

The site is small, but the pitches are generous, and the middle of the field is kept open, so you always feel like you have plenty of space to play games, and away from other campers.

The toilets, showers and kitchen were always clean, and having a games room with pool table and table tennis was a lovely perk.

It had a lovely vibe - everyone was respectful and it was peaceful, but you also didn't feel like it was too strict and silent. I think the generous pitches help with this. Campfires allowed.

Also very grateful to Miriam and Tim for their check out policy - there's no rush to be out first thing, so you can fully enjoy the last day of your trip, which we really appreciated.

There are loads of things to do locally, so you're never stuck for options, but it's also just a nice site to chill at if you want to just kick back for a weekend.

Non mi è piaciuto The only things to note are the road, which you can hear, but you get used to, and the showers - they're lovely and clean, with hot water and good pressure, but the push button means you're just showering in bursts.

Mi è piaciuto Great facilities, friendly staff and very well kept. We like the attention to detail IE kettle for everyone’s use and washing up liquid. The social area with free pool table and table tennis is a great added bonus.

Mi è piaciuto The campsite was very well maintained. The facilities were amazing and very clean. Tim was lovely and very helpful. Within walking distance of a great Gurkha restaurant.

Mi è piaciuto Great facilities and close to local shop. The pitch size was a great benefit too.

Non mi è piaciuto I packed up and left at 1:35am due to a group having zero camping etiquette and not lowering the volume. I got fed up and went home after trying to get some sleep for several hours. Ground rules need to be set. I go camping to get a relaxing time away.I shouldn't be waking up in my own bed due to selfish people.

Dal gestore: We do try to ensure all our campers have a nice time with us. We are generally around for any issues and people are free to contact us 24/7. We were on site with the campers at 11pm that evening due to a party being held by our neighbours and we were concerned that campers might be being disturbed. At this time, the campsite was quite quiet.
