Mi è piaciuto The location. The pitch sizes. The facilities. Everything you need for a tent stay. I’ve seen reviews regarding the smell at times, you’re on a farm, expect it. You can hear, see and smell animals… my kids love it. I’ve seen reviews about the facilities being dirty… they aren’t but expect grass on the floor. Very hard to keep on top of when campers are walking through a field to get to them. Needed an electric hookup extension, Tom provided it no questions asked. There’s a small park with a large sand bit down the road. A lovely farm cafe. Further on there’s a pub that serves great food. Just two roads away there’s a great river walk, with a new pub/garden about to open. Internet signal is poor for me here but we don’t mind that, we pre-download programmes for night time.

Mi è piaciuto The area is great for its scenery and for walking. There is a great cafe next door (The Farmers Yard) and a very friendly pub nearby (The Red Lion) which serves excellent food.

Non mi è piaciuto The facitities were dirty, I don't beleive they were cleaned during our visit. The men's shower was loose and the base of the shower cubicle became concave once you stood on it.
Also the grass was long and needed to be cut.

Mi è piaciuto Very quiet and peaceful. Heard owls and saw long tailed tits and squirrels. Only one other on site. Nice walk down to the river. Did not use amenities but they looked fine.

Mi è piaciuto Very quiet and peaceful place. Pub quick easy walk away. Other walks around. Hard standing Pitch nice and level and tidy.

Non mi è piaciuto No lights/ lights not working near toilet block so walking over in pitch black at night.
Toilets not very clean in the sense that the cubicles were full of grass and quite run down. Considering only 2 others on the site while we were thought they would be cleaner

Non mi è piaciuto We have visited this site several times now. Please cut the grass properly, and get rid of the cuttings. The washing up facility, toilets and showers are very basic and full of grass, someone had swept a load of it up into a pile in the shower, but it wasn't cleared up the whole weekend we were there, it makes everything soaking wet and a mess, lots of people commented about it, and where was the cleaner? On the plus side, The Red Lion in the village is a lovely pub for food and drinks

Mi è piaciuto You get a good size pitch between little hedges which is nice.

Non mi è piaciuto The grass hadn't been cut for a while, then he came after we had set up. The showers were full of grass as were our cars and tents.
The bins in the washing up area were overflowing and by the end of the weekend so were the wheelie bins.

Mi è piaciuto Nice quiet site, facilities were good and clean.

Non mi è piaciuto It’s not necessarily a bad thing but I didn’t see an official from the site in my time there. Granted I was only there for one night but you usually have an interaction with someone on most sites. Maybe it was the time of year also. But there was quite a lot of rubbish lying around some pitches which was sad to see. The bin was overflowing so I guess that is why. One this is that there does not seem to be a gate or barrier to seal the site at night. But as it is in such a secluded place it probably doesn’t need it.
