Emplacement pour tente (Sunny Camping) sur herbe sans électricité
A aimé Nice friendly people working at the site, the owner was also very patient as I arrived late owing to a tyre puncture. Fortunately the bar was still open for a very necessary drink or two. I don't know how many times the pub has been mentioned before, but it's definitely worth a visit on the weekend, interesting decor.
Some nice walks from the site itself as well as being close to Dartmoor and the coast. Also look out for the occasional events held.
All in all, a nice campsite in a good location.
N'a pas aimé Nothing to dislike.

Pod prêt-à-camper
A aimé Warm welcome on a family run site.
This was was my first ever stay in the Cornish hinterland, I could reach places to visit on both coasts without having to take a long drive. Also only around half an hour to Minions for starting a walk to the Hurlers and Cheesewring stones.
Tina, the owner, is very friendly and likes to ensure that you're comfortable in the pod without any problems (none whatsoever), I was even invited to share their Christmas lunch. I also got to enjoy the company of three beautiful and friendly dogs including the new puppy, and a horse and pony. Very relaxed atmosphere.
As for the pods, ensuite with a nice hot shower, a huge nest of a bed and still with enough room to not feel claustrophobic. And all very cosy at night with the fairy lights along the wall, also an ordinary light if you need to read etc. All I have to do now is return in Spring to enjoy the fire pit outside, with luck it won't be raining so much next time at night. Definitely worth the trip.
Hopefully be able to sit in on the band practice one day, thanks to everyone at the site and a hello to Bobby.

Pod prêt-à-camper Carrock View
A aimé I stayed at Cardewlees for 4 nights over Christmas, and unfortunately couldn't get in all the walks as intended, so spent more time in the cabin with the laptop. This makes me pretty knowledgeable about the pod, so I'll start with that.
Very well built and cosy, ten minutes with the heater on, the place stayed warm for ages, so well insulated. The mattress wasn't too bad and I slept well for the four nights. There's a fridge, toaster, microwave and sink, all in good working order, no complaints. Outside I was impressed with the large deck which led to a large enclosed lawn, ideal for children and pets, with open views towards the lakes.
The toilet and shower blocks are close enough, with private showers, water was warm although not so warm as to make me want to linger too long, but not a problem in any way.
To finish off, I find that the farm is ideally situated for a walking holiday, surrounded by countryside and a village nearby for the pub or supplies, Carlisle is an easy drive, but most importantly close enough to both Hadrian's wall and the lakes. Definitely would have no problem camping here the next time I head back to Cumbria.

Cabane de berger Morris 1 chambre
A aimé Im impressed. I was looking for peace and seclusion and in 'Morris' that's exactly what I found, although in my case my plans for a couple of treks ended up forgotten. I ended up up taking some walks along the nearby lanes but found that I was in the perfect spot for recharging batteries, finally leaving for home completely refreshed.
It's the perfect spot for one or two people to stay, tranquil and surrounded by nature. As for the cabin itself, in the guestbooks the word cosy is mentioned a few times, and that's the description I'll also go with. Apart from an oven, not enough room, everything you could need is provided. Welcome pack included.
An efficient log burner, I found that three logs one after another, was enough to leave the hut very comfortable for at least two or three hours. The shower, was spacious enough for a six footer and had an ideal water temperature and flow. Glamping without having to leave the accommodation to go to an outside shower block, is a nice bonus. As for the sleeping area, it's like a nest, tv and dvd's for when you're not sleeping and an ideal site for reading. The garden area is also a nice place to sit out in, and when clear, it's a beautiful night sky to take in.
Finally, the owners are a nice couple, very friendly and helpful and extremely unobtrusive. I only saw them on the afternoon that I arrived and the morning that I left. Apart from the small amount of traffic it felt like I was the only person alive, perfect. Nice little decorative touches from Frances to make Morris more homely should also be mentioned.
All in all a great place for those looking for a nice peaceful break from civilisation.

Pod prêt-à-camper (animaux interdits)
A aimé In a word, relaxing. For one to two people(plus pets) I would describe the pods as cosy, and with enough extras included to only worry about bringing bedding and a stove with me.
The facilities are good, well thought out and clean. Although this is a camp site, and can only remain clean depending on you and your fellow guests of course.
Greenway's location is well situated for walks and for visiting various towns and other attractions, and Craven Arms is also good enough for shopping necessities. I did manage to get some walking done on the Shropshire hills, visit Ludlow and Leominster, and have a a nice lazy Christmas Day. Therefore, I personally can only recommend this site, had a nice stay

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you for your review and are glad you enjoyed your stay and the surrounding area. The pods do have a double sofa bed, kettle, heater, small fridge, plates and crockery for 2 people inside and a large chimenea/BBQ with a table and 2 chairs outside. We do not provide bedding as standard as that is a personal preference and various so much between guests. (some require summer weight quilts all year and others prefer winter weight or sleeping bags and different numbers of pillows) The toilet and shower block are cleaned daily (several ties if the weather is bad) and checked several times a day but only stay as clean as they are left between cleans and checks. We are an ideal location for exploring Shropshire and into Herefordshire. There really is something to do to please everyone and miles of walking or cycling if you are so inclined.
